[Takeru's appeared on the Plane again, but this time with some equipment. Since he's been told that time doesn't pass at home while he's on the Plane, he's brought his desk and computer with him. Just one, not his massive computer bank that he has in the Digital World.]

[He's currently inputting data, and tweaking some coding. The screen is showing some sort of creature, and there's a box like a DOS prompt popped up on the side. He's also muttering to himself.]

It should be... yeah. But its internal systems are still unstable... I need to make sure that it doesn't error out on itself and crash...

[He hits a button and a red error message pops up.]

That's what I thought. [He keys in another set of commands, and then clicks on another box on the screen. A double-helix pops up and expands, and he starts hunting through it, looking for... something.]

[Ooh, computer. Kuhn makes his way over and, noticing the DOS prompt, is even more interested than before.]

Oh, hey, are you a programmer?

Of a sort. [He stretches.] Right now I'm trying to figure out where the error in my coding is. Other code could compensate for it, but I'm trying to keep it as streamlined as possible and not brute force it.

[Click click click. There. He pulls up another window and enters in a line of code. He hits another button and a green light flashes. He hits a small padlock icon and sighs.]

It's a project I've been working on for a while.

Huh. What language? If it's something I know, maybe I can help you out. [He laughs a little.] Assuming, of course, our worlds have the same kind of computers floating around.

[He shakes his head.] Probably not. It's a mix of a few languages, with some prompts I've built in, plus some... that isn't even from the real world.

Wow. So your world already knows about other worlds? That's really something.

[He leans in to look at the monitor.] So, what are you trying to do with it? I mean, besides the bug. What's it supposed to do?

Certain people do. I'm one of them. There aren't very many around, though.

Mmm. Trying to design something that'll have better vision in dark areas. So far I've almost got it... but I keep getting something that tells me that what I've put in isn't compatible. I don't get it. They're from the same line...

[He sighs, frustrated.]

I mean, it's not like I'm trying to cross a Data type with a Virus type! There's a reason I avoid using Virus types as much as possible...

[He's about to ask if the guy is designing creatures for a video game or something, but decides he probably doesn't want to know the answer to that (because what if he's not?). So he bypasses the obvious questions and rewires his thought process a little before speaking.]

I take it from the name that using a Virus type would probably have messy effects, then? Hm. Is there a second-best option? Or, maybe you could change the rest of it to make the bit you definitely want compatible?

Vince and Pino are just traveling through the wastelands now. The wind is good! And the card soldiers and tin soldiers are all gone now. Vince met another not-Vince and they had a fight.
