[ Enter Angela, this time not wearing a magical emotion-warping pin. In fact, said pin is now in the bottom of her bag o' artifacts, in another bag, in another bag, in another bag. Suffice to say she will not be breaking the safe halo of bags to get to it any time soon.

She has a bunch of supplies in her arms, from bandages to gauze to cotton swabs, and funny little containers with liquid in them. She seats herself on the Plane. On closer inspection, her upper arm is wrapped in bandaging similar to what she brought here, and there's a vaguely red patch starting to show through it. Silently, she goes about unraveling the bandage.

She doesn't seem to want to make eye contact with anyone, probably out of embarrassment over what happened the last time she was here. ]

The Duma Desert is smack dab in the middle of several populated areas. They steal from all sides, then retreat back to their fortresses.

Why don't all those populated areas just blow them to kingdom come?

Forcena marched on them once. They lost two-thirds of their army to the desert. Beast Kingdom chased them around a while, but they kept abandoning their fortresses and moving around. Some soldiers stayed behind in case the thieves returned, and once the army was separated into five or six different places, Navarre's ninjas returned and overwhelmed them.

Attacking Rolante is probably the first stupid thing I've heard of them doing. [ She starts redressing her arm. ] No doubt one of the kingdoms is going to go after them while they're busy occupying Rolante.

[ She raises an eyebrow at the "shut up," but decides she probably heard wrong. ] Altena. It's in the Fieg Snowfields. Thankfully pretty far from any of the other kingdoms.

So why are you seeing any combat at all?

Koren and I left Altena a few months ago to see about finding either an artifact or an Eye of Flame that will help our kingdom survive.

I'd prefer to skip the adventure. Though except for running into those Forcenian soldiers and now the valkyrie, we haven't seen much excitement.

[ She smirks. ] I'm leery to accept candy from someone who compliments my butt.
