Artifact 3.5

[ Enter Angela, this time not wearing a magical emotion-warping pin. In fact, said pin is now in the bottom of her bag o' artifacts, in another bag, in another bag, in another bag. Suffice to say she will not be breaking the safe halo of bags to get to it any time soon.

She has a bunch of supplies in her arms, from bandages to gauze to cotton swabs, and funny little containers with liquid in them. She seats herself on the Plane. On closer inspection, her upper arm is wrapped in bandaging similar to what she brought here, and there's a vaguely red patch starting to show through it. Silently, she goes about unraveling the bandage.

She doesn't seem to want to make eye contact with anyone, probably out of embarrassment over what happened the last time she was here. ]

[ She looks up at his voice, then back down again. At least she didn't wind up making out with him or anything before. Stupid pin. ] I'm fine. Ran into a scared and confused girl with a spear, that's all.

See what? [ She doesn't look up, focusing on undressing her wound. Her ears are already starting to burn as her face colors. Partially because she remembers how she felt about Mu before, and how dumb she feels for putting so much confidence into someone barely older than her, and partially because that admiration was fake. ]

[ Indignant Angie is indignant. And focusing more on her boo-boo than on Deadpool. ] No idea what a hello-ween is, but regardless I'm not your mommy.

That was probably the most adorable thing ever.

A confused and scared girl with a spear happened. She's unconscious now, though.

[ She'll be making a mental note not to go bending over near Deadpool any time in the near future. ]

So what were you doing around scared and confused girls with weapons? You a girl scout leader?

Rolante's been seized by Navarre, she must be one of their soldiers. I'm guessing, at least, since I heard the army's all female and they carry spears. Koren and I were camping out at the base of the path through the Norn Peaks and I ran into her in the bushes.

[ She finally unwraps her bandage, exposing a long and deep cut that runs from her shoulder to about an inch away from her elbow. It's still bleeding, though slowly. ] She probably thought I was part of the Navarre army, and decided to hurt me before I could hurt her.

An all female army?

[ She scoots back a little, away from him, shying away from letting him see her wound. ] This is it. Koren knocked her out before she could do anything else.

[ She doesn't seem to notice the fact that he's distracted by mental images. Either that or she ignores it. She goes about putting some of the stuff from the jars she brought with her on the cotton swabs and cleaning the injury. ]

Rolante is a matriarchy, a bit like Altena. I don't think Mother's going to build our army with all female mages, though, if we wind up having one.

Sounds like a good time any way you slice it.

[Reaches out a little towards her, wanting to bring her closer so he can see but he quickly realizes that isn't a good and drops his hand] At least you managed to get off lightly. Were you surprised or something?

[ Inch inch. She's not interested in being touched, Dino. ] Rolante was seized by Navarre today, but the castle is at the top of one of the Norn Peaks. Koren and I were camped at the bottom of the trail up the mountain side. Neither of us suspected a valkyrie to make it that far without getting killed or taken prisoner.

[ The wound she reveals is nasty, and covers most the length from her shoulder to her elbow. It's had some time to heal and thus the bleeding has slowed, but is still oozing. ]

Har de har har. [ She rolls her eyes, but he's managed to get a smile out of her. That is until she touches one particularly smelly ointment to the wound, which causes her to hiss in pain. ]

Who knows what's going to happen to Rolante now. Navarre's a thieves empire, they're pretty ruthless.

Who'd want to live in an empire of thieves? Wouldn't a thief have better luck in less-suspecting empire?
