004 [Something with a Bit of Style]

[Susan has returned to the Plane after what may or may not have been a fairly long absence. Time is like that, especially when you're traveling through it rather erratically.

With her is a large wardrobe, the contents of which belongs to her roommate, friend and constant source of confusion, Zoe Heriot. She lifts out one outfit, frowns slightly, then returns it to the wardrobe. She doesn't quite dare to examine the contents on the TARDIS, in case Zoe herself - or, even worse, Jamie catches her - but it's probably safe on the Plane.

Probably.

The second outfit she removes is apparently equally unappealing, and, when she finally speaks, she is holding a third sartorial masterpiece.]

I don't think I'll ever understand 21st century fashion.

Yes, they do. These are girl's clothes. [Although 'pretty' isn't the first word that comes to mind when you look at these outfits.]

I try my best. I don't know if I can answer anything though. That's the sort of thing my grandfather likes to do.

They do wear clothes. But you can have different types of clothes, and those different types are different fashions.

[At the moment, Susan doesn't have much of an idea either.] I'm afraid they do.

He isn't that old. [Not for a Time Lord, anyway.] He's certainly wise, though.

Is Teru a friend of yours?

Yes, gero! Yes, yes he is! He is human, he was my first human friend, gero! He can't really dance, but he can answer a lot of questions too, gero!

I ... I don't think so. I don't think they're right for me.

Yes, he can. I'm not sure about dancing... [She giggles a little at that. It's an odd mental image.] ... but he does like music. He even plays the recorder.

That's the main thing, I think. He can always learn to dance, can't he?
