[this is Lucy. this is Lucy sitting quietly off to some random side of the Plane, resting in a wide, comfy chair, legs tucked beneath her and reading a book. what book? a random one she snatched from the TARDIS library that gives some (very) truncated history on Gallifrey. why? because her husband has currently gone a mite bonkers and thinks himself someone else. it really, really sucks. so she's doing some reading and hoping to find some answers.

Harry, I'm not hurting you! Please! I just want you back the way you're supposed to be!

You promised me you were done with him. But you cannot resist it, can you? I thought -- oh, of course. You do love him. You love him as you hate him, blame him, see him as having taken something from you and so you obsess over him. He has taken nothing, Lucy, nothing that is worth anything. The only thing of worth is I, R--

[and he stops, very very confused at who exactly he is]

Mrs Saxon, I apologise for that outburst. I have no idea what came over me.

[wrings her hands together] I broke his hearts for you, Harry. I've done everything you asked. I've stayed away from him, even though-- [tries to take his hand again] You're all that matters to me. Everything. I don't want to lose you again, don't you see? Whatever this is, it's taking you away. You aren't Rassilon! You're Harold Saxon, the Master, my husband. I'll do anything to make sure I don't lose you again.

[feels very bad for her]

I take it, then, that your husband has gone missing, Mrs Saxon?

[don't feel bad, just be yourself! er, wait...]

Harry, you ... you really don't remember, do you? [stares at him, devastated, then fights to compose herself, laughing politely] It would seem he's more lost than I thought.

How can I prove to you that I am not him? And when you are satisfied of that, perhaps Omega and I could aid you in recovering him. Omega is never short on altruistic desires.

Is he? How terribly unsurprising. [but she keeps smiling, all polite and respectable like a good little politician's wife, since her pleas obviously won't work and there's no sense losing more face. Harry would surely disapprove, after all

which means this obviously calls for a different tactic] I'm dreadfully sorry for how I've behaved. It's been quite stressful with Harry gone and you looking so like him ... oh, I do hope you understand. But if you can, how would you help me get him back?

[has a feeling she doesn't believe him yet]

There is no Time Lord lost who cannot be found. Though I imagine his TARDIS's recall circuits would be unavailable to us, if we could catch the unique signature of his mind, we could track him down. No two Time Lords share a mind, not even those entrelaced.

[he'd be so very right, but Lucy's a bred liar, so]

Harry didn't have his own TARDIS. He said it was trapped somewhere. He travelled with the Doctor. [chews her lip, thoughtful] And if you find his signature, what then? Do you use something to bring him 'round?

[lifts an eyebrow]

We have no idea what has detained him, Mrs Saxon. I do not know that we would need to 'bring him around.'

[charming smile!]

You'll have to forgive me. That was terribly careless phrasing on my part. I've been with Harry some time now, but I'm still have some difficulty understanding how his Time Lord -- would you call them powers? -- work. Does it work like a telepathic connection? Ah, what do you call it ... Contact, I think? Is that how you would find him?

Contact is more intimate than that. Consider it more a very particular radiation scan.

Ah, of course. Silly me. And once you find him, you just tell him to nip back home from wherever he's gotten off to?

At the very least, we can let you know where he is.

That would be absolutely splendid if you could. I miss him. I'd like to know where my husband is.

I would be more than happy to bring him back to you.

Then please do. I'd be ever so grateful.
