[On the Plane appears Jolyne running at a rather fast pace, clutching a small, somewhat disgruntled dog by the scruff of its neck. Along with this unusual sight is a large mess of sand beneath Jolyne's feet - apparently she's just been in a desert?
At the sudden change of scenery, however, she slows to a walk, then a stop, and lifts the dog to eye level.]
Alright, you. You're going to cooperate with me, or you're never seeing another piece of gum again.
(experiment start!)

May I ask why you're threatening this dog?

[The dog wriggles a bit] You're not getting anywhere near my hair, so don't even think about it. [And now the dog seems to be grinning]

May I see it?

[takes the dog, then pulls]
You realise that I'm entirely capable of dissecting it and extracting whatever capacities it may possess? I could translate them into a simple code and voila! No need for a dog. And I've always loved vivisection sans anaesthetic.
Of course, I could go with the good old Dalek method of putting a brain-drain over its head and drawing the information out. Remarkably useful. I remember back in the days of the mind probe, we used to do that all the time. Then Romana had to ban it because she has principles. I don't, and I've heard enough shouts of, 'No, not the mind probe!' to know that it hurts a very great deal.

[She glares at the dog, who grins back... and farts. Loudly.] AUGH! You stupid mutt!
