[have some of the TARDIS wardrobe set out on the Plane. You might see things like this and this and this, along with all types of other clothes as well. Handy is going through it, looking for some clothes to get by before he replenishes his wardrobe. He holds a shirt up against his chest as he studies his reflection in a floor length mirror and then quickly tosses it aside, going back to sort through the racks of clothing]

[ouch, that just cued the Master that something is very much up. But instead of pressing it, he just steps in closer]

Did you find any Time Lord robes? I've been trying to find some nice ones, you know, maybe one of the cloaks. I wanted one in black, but I can only find this garish green colour. Not a proper Prydonian, bringing something green along. And I can't find a thing in neutral-colours.

[grabs a red jacket and finally turns around, facing the Master]

[scrutinizes it for a moment, and then tosses it aside, before the Master has a chance to answer]

Wait, wait, wait. Hold that thought.

[holds up a black shirt]

What do you think? Bit too Johnny Cash? [doesn't pause to allow for any sort of response] Then again, that one Doctor seems to have pulled off black nicely in his universe. We'll just keep it in the good pile.

[drops the shirt in a small pile, and then goes back to looking through clothes without missing a beat]

[tosses the thing to the Master, though it might not arrive very gracefully, what with the bulkiness and things of that robe, but he's not stopping to see if the Master caught it, he's back to looking for things]

[with slightly glee, he pulls the robes on. There is no hat, but this is for the best]

Probably. There's bound to be a few more different sizes lying around as well. Surprised that thing is still in one piece.

I forgot how nice the material is.

[and let's be honest; when you wear the same stuffy robes for two hundred years, they begin to be a bit like a security blanket. The Master has ADD'd from bothering Handy about his emo, because he feels comfortable, Rassilon forbid, in Prydonian robes. That post-War nostalgia hits in all the strangest places]

I remember being told that the robes were supposed to be comfortable because we weren't supposed to like it. But I that isn't what it was. The robes were supposed to become comfortable. The Academy was supposed to make us like its suffocation, and when we were used to it - when we started to crave the impractical robes and the ornate rituals - that was when they knew they had us. That was when a young Gallifreyan's mind was broken into old Gallirey's ways.

Always liked the square folds in it. Such an elegant, simple thing when you take it apart, but it seems complex at first glance.

The robes, yes. They're impractical, and I wouldn't wear them outside a TARDIS, but I want to have them. I want to be able to wear them if I want to. I want that choice. You destroyed Gallifrey, and now it isn't a choice.

Not the rituals, though. ...Well, some of them. I always like a good ritual. Maybe if we tossed in a bit more summoning, I'd be sold.

You're free to have the robe if you like. Don't think anyone will notice it's gone missing. Too much stuff in this place, anyway.
