[have some of the TARDIS wardrobe set out on the Plane. You might see things like this and this and this, along with all types of other clothes as well. Handy is going through it, looking for some clothes to get by before he replenishes his wardrobe. He holds a shirt up against his chest as he studies his reflection in a floor length mirror and then quickly tosses it aside, going back to sort through the racks of clothing]

I told you. It's a constant thing, really.
[the Master almost asks what happened, but he decides not to]
And I'd suggest plain dress shirts. Abandon the layers thing entirely.
[he lifts an arm to indicate the robes he's wearing]
I suspect that our habit of dressing rather - shall we say - conservatively derives from these.
no subject
Or just a freak occurence?
[looks thoughtful for a moment, having very much forgotten about his earlier clothing quest]
Plain dress shirts.
[watches the Master in the robe and then moves around to go look for dress shirts]
Is that where the blame lies? I still feel a bit odd if the neckline is too low.
no subject
If the neckline is low, I feel a bit... naked, really.
[those robes have scarred them]
But I think simply wearing dress shirts works. No ties. Unless you plan on getting a job, of course. Then you'll have to look professional.
no subject
It's odd, the things that stick with you.
[scarred for life. or lives, as the case may be]
I don't plan on getting a job anytime soon. I'd be very happy if I never have to get one, honestly.

[pulls out a blue dress shirt, examining it]
Yes? No? Maybe? [shrugs] I don't know.
[doesn't wait for a response before tossing it aside]
no subject
no subject
This one, I think is a yes.
[moves to examine his reflection in the mirror, holding the shirt up against his chest, scrutinizing it for a moment]
Or not.
[and it gets tossed aside as well]

You think?
[moves over to the mirror, examining his reflection with the shirt]

It's not too bad.
[he puts it in the good pile and then is back to rooting around]

Do you want me to see if I can find a better size? Maybe my second has a robe lying around in here somewhere?
no subject
They're fine.
[whether he's comfortable, or he doesn't want to admit that he's always shorter, we'll never know]
no subject
If you say so.
[shrugs]
They look good, either way. It's been a while since I've seen someone in them. I thought I hated the things, but it actually looks good.
no subject
I always thought the Valeyard wore them well. Even that hat.
no subject
Well, everyone has to have at least one thing going for them, that would be his I suppose.
no subject
Sartorial elegance?
no subject
Yes. We'll give him that one.
no subject
He was also quite eloquent.
no subject
Well, you seem to think more highly of him than I imagined.

[he's not sure how to react, so he just goes back to looking for clothes]
no subject
How about a nice, dark blue? Prussian, maybe.
