060: Mood to Burn Bridges

[Hei appears on the Plane sitting on a low wall surrounded in a blue glow. The glow cuts off almost instantly after he appears, and he promptly slumps forward on the wall, gripping the concrete edge to keep from falling off. He's pale and shaking a little, and black blood is flowing rather steadily from his nose. It's clear that he's exhausted, but he looks more surprised than anything.]

[He sits there panting and dripping blood onto the floor before he raises a hand to wipe it away.]

...That wasn't supposed to happen.

Ne, Hei, did you get in trouble again?

[contract_star]

[He holds his nose, trying to slow the bleeding.] Not really, no. This...I don't know. It was an accident.

[madamemoiselle]

{Oh, Hei, you are wasting that delicious, delicious blood. Diva looks a bit anxious, and her eyes are fixed on his nose}

An accident? What happened?

[contract_star]

I was trying to sever a reality and...my mind went into my power instead. I didn't mean for it to.

[He sees you watching him, Diva, and tries to cover up the blood as best he can.]

[madamemoiselle]

{She turns her eyes up to his, speaking more coolly}

Whose?

[contract_star]

Crowley's. He wanted it.

[madamemoiselle]

Alright then!

{Sighs a little, relieved} I was worried that you were still thinking about letting mine go!

[contract_star]

Oh, no, I wouldn't. Not unless you wanted me to.

[madamemoiselle]

Not at all! I was just saying, since you were talking about it when I was in...in...PANDORA, I was just wondering if you were still thinking about it. Kind of.

[contract_star]

I'm not. You don't have to worry about that, Diva. [The blood has slowed enough that he can take his hand away, though there's a fair bit of blood all over his hand and face.]

[madamemoiselle]

I'm glad, then. I would hate to lose someone else that can come see me.

{hnghhhh not!making out would be awkward and she actually realizes this (progress!) so she takes Hei's hand very delicately and starts to lick the blood off his hand.}

[contract_star]

I wouldn't do that to you. [Not intentionally, anyway, though the thought that he could randomly disappear at any time is not lost on him.]

[He lets her, not as weirded out as he probably should be. He's dealt with obeisances like this before, so it's not really anything new.]

[madamemoiselle]

{She squeezes his hand lightly at that, smiling} I'm really glad.

Ah, I'm back, by the way. I did end up getting fired, but it didn't really matter.

[contract_star]

[He just smiles at that.]

Oh, really? I'm sorry. Was it fun while it lasted, at least?

[madamemoiselle]

{Nods}

It was a lot of fun! Of course, my agent was really worried about me, but I told him that I went to France for a little while to see Amshel's father. He seemed to believe that, so that's good.

[contract_star]

[Starts cleaning off whatever blood is remaining.]

I'm glad. Any plans now?

[madamemoiselle]

Not really. I told him I didn't really want to travel, so it'll be a while before another job opens up in New York.

{She starts to kick her feet idly} I guess I'll start going to more social things. I mean, they're fun, but still, those are some really odd parties.

[contract_star]

Are they?

[madamemoiselle]

Oh, very. I mean, all the drinking that they do, it' obnoxious, and maybe even worse than that is when the men realize that I'm there. They wouldn't have even glanced at me before, which is fine, but really, I prefer more charm than that, especially if they're asking me to bed.

[contract_star]

Sounds absolutely lovely.

[madamemoiselle]

They're usually terrible too. It's not even any fun and I have to fake it.

{le sigh~} Ne, but oh well. It's better than just sitting at home all alone.

[contract_star]

I suppose.

[madamemoiselle]

Well that's the worst anyways. I'm still not really used to having to be alone, so I can't really stand to stay at home when my servants aren't there. It drives me crazy! I hate it.

[contract_star]

[Smiles.] You know, I've been so busy with the Constellation, I haven't had time to visit you, have I? Yin has been talking about you, too. Maybe we should come visit.

[madamemoiselle]

Ah, I'd really like that! The water is really nice now, so it would probably be fun to swim, if you'd like that.
