060: Mood to Burn Bridges

[Hei appears on the Plane sitting on a low wall surrounded in a blue glow. The glow cuts off almost instantly after he appears, and he promptly slumps forward on the wall, gripping the concrete edge to keep from falling off. He's pale and shaking a little, and black blood is flowing rather steadily from his nose. It's clear that he's exhausted, but he looks more surprised than anything.]

[He sits there panting and dripping blood onto the floor before he raises a hand to wipe it away.]

...That wasn't supposed to happen.

Oh, very. I mean, all the drinking that they do, it' obnoxious, and maybe even worse than that is when the men realize that I'm there. They wouldn't have even glanced at me before, which is fine, but really, I prefer more charm than that, especially if they're asking me to bed.

Sounds absolutely lovely.

They're usually terrible too. It's not even any fun and I have to fake it.

{le sigh~} Ne, but oh well. It's better than just sitting at home all alone.

Well that's the worst anyways. I'm still not really used to having to be alone, so I can't really stand to stay at home when my servants aren't there. It drives me crazy! I hate it.

[Smiles.] You know, I've been so busy with the Constellation, I haven't had time to visit you, have I? Yin has been talking about you, too. Maybe we should come visit.

[madamemoiselle]

Ah, I'd really like that! The water is really nice now, so it would probably be fun to swim, if you'd like that.

[contract_star]

That might be nice. How about it, then? When should I stop by?

Um! Let's see...I think Wednesday would be good, actually. I don't have anything to do that day, so you can stop by whenever you would like.

[contract_star]

When is Wednesday for you? It's Saturday in my world.

[madamemoiselle]

Oh, two days from now.

[contract_star]

I see. I'll be over in two days, then.

[madamemoiselle]

{Smiles!!} Ne, I'm really looking forward to it already!

[Chuckles.] Me too.

Oh, and Misaki is welcome to come if she'd like. You two are still close, right?

Ah...of course. I don't know if she'll be able to, though...have you spoken to her, lately?

[madamemoiselle]

Oh, no, I haven't. Is something wrong?

[contract_star]

Tokyo has been attacked by Contractors. Apparently they situated themselves within PANDORA. When Misaki tried to get too close, they teleported her into PANDORA. She escaped, but...she was fighting her way through Tokyo, last I saw her.

[He folds his hands together beneath his chin.] You remember what PANDORA was like.

[madamemoiselle]

{She says nothing to PANDORA, for whatever reason}

Why are they attacking?

[contract_star]

I don't know, and neither does Misaki. That's why they were trying to find them.

They did something to Tokyo. They turned part of it into the Gate.

[madamemoiselle]

And that's...That's really bad, right? Like, really bad.

[contract_star]

Yes. Really bad.

[He's quiet a moment.] All of that aside, she...could probably use a break.

[madamemoiselle]

Well, she's welcome at my home. I don't think Misaki and I have merged, but maybe if she comes with you it'll work. Maybe.
