But see, I go to the supermarket and I don't even see anything vaguely resembling churros. And the mexican section? It's just two little sad cans of refried beans with a sombrero on top. And they misspelt taco. Taco only has four letters in it!

Yes!! Of course I am! Well... I don't know, Faith can pretty much kick my ass, but generally? Yes. Although. It's not so much that I'm stronger exactly, just more experienced. The others are the trainees and I'm the old crusty manager who's been in the job too long and doesn't get paid enough and tuts a lot.

Except... in a more flattering way that doesn't make me sound like a complete loser.

Technically speaking, a lot of "superheroes" are less than legal. Especially nowadays with the whole registration thingamajigger.

But I'm not really a superhero. More a supermercenary.

It's a new-ish thing. Now it's law for superheroes to reveal their identities to the government. Some of 'em take issue with that and so they go around fighting crime illegally.

And 'hero for pay' implies that I only do heroic things.

Spider-Man's one of those guys fighting crime illegally, actually.

Though he did reveal his identity and then we all... forgot.

And yeah, I kinda do less than nice things occasionally. I'm not into killing innocent people though.
