[has taken off his coat and checks it over. looks rather disappointed to find a slash down the side]

My coat... [sighs] Most priests don't have swords, you know. Well, all right. Some priests do. Just it isn't exactly good for them to bang on about peace and then try to run me through.

[considers silently for a moment] Erm, Lucia, this isn't as bad as it sounds. You're not in trouble, really.

[aww, hugs make the Doctor feel better] For a minute there my pride was bruised.

He's very bored, otherwise I don't think he'd bother.

[This is why we hug :D] That's a good thing every once in a while, when it's your pride.

Find something for him to do, then. I dunno. The Game of Life. I bet he could take over the board and destroy the little blue and pink figures with his little plastic car or something.

[sounds pouty but actually isn't!] My pride is quite fine, thank you.

I thought about trying Monopoly. I think he'd have fun with that. Well, once he finished arguing with me about it being a ridiculous human game and all that. I think he just doesn't want to admit I'm better at board games.

It's a bit inflated sometimes.

What 'bout Risk or Stratego or something like that? Seems like something he'd enjoy.

Nah, it's perfectly sized for me.

Actually, that's what he calls that war going on. [scratches his neck] Because, well, the only real way to beat him is if none of the species are on his side.

Whatever you say, Doctor.

Well, then, good luck with that. Sounds like you have your hands full.

[snorts] It's harder than I thought it'd be. What do you offer giant squid to not go killing dolphins. ...This is also one of the more ridiculous sounding wars I've been involved with. There was that bunny war, though...

...well, I know you'll figure it out. Eventually. Hopefully before the war even starts.

I'll work on it. Should be fine. [beams] So! Tell me more about that doomsday device. [curious Doctor is curious]

The doomsday device? This one was weird, actually. It was sorta like a big hydrogen bomb with lasers on the outside of it. Really sorta.....sci-fi movie. Not surprising, since the creator was a bit of a comic book geek.

Really? Was it human? Or just a comic book loving alien?

Dunno, really. They took him in for questioning before I got there to stop the doomsday device. I couldn't be there when it started because I was too busy chasing some...pig alien things in the sewers.

Pig aliens in the sewers? [scratches his head] I dealt with those but they were created by the Daleks...

Really? Were they sorta...big and part human-ish?

[blinks] Yeah, they were, actually. In these...worker suits.

[Blinks too] Like...the construction sort?

[stares now] Yeah. They were construction workers.

[Stares back] So, pig-aliens wearing construction suits in the sewers.

[frowns] Yeah. ...Could be a coincidence, of course. Was there anything strange about that case?

Dunno yet. I'm going back later to take a look around, since I had to leave so fast earlier.

Hmm. You'll be careful, right? I can't come help if anything goes wrong but- [snaps his fingers] Oh! I know. Do you still have your superphone, Rose?

[Blinks and pulls the superphone out of her pocket] I do, yeah. Why d'you ask?

Well, it's just a theory but with this nexus point now running through all our worlds, our phones might be able to signal each other. Sam mentioned wireless carries through this place, so why now, eh? [pulls Martha's phone out of his pocket and waves it] Hang on a tic. [drops off the plane and calls Rose!]

[Answers her phone] Hello?

[laughs] Hullo, hullo! All right! Try going back home and see if the connection holds, eh?
