[Hello Plane! There is a rather attractive, dark-haired young woman (with great cheekbones) sitting at your bar, drinking your liquor. She's everything you would imagine a starlet/celebutante to look like: flawless hair, manicure, tiny little designer dress, expensive shoes and fashionable sunglasses.]
[She's currently sipping absently on a martini of some nature, looking extremely bored. Or tired. It's hard to tell through the sunglasses, really.]
[Feel free to bug her? Him. Whatever.]
((ooc: THIS IS NOT AN EXPERIMENT. Demons can change shape. And...yeah. Really that's all I got. Just poke the girl!demon, will you? XD; ))

[Very, very gently, he clears a space on the bar and lays Crowley down. When he turns back toward Hei, he has his sword in hand.] Would you like me to repair the damage to your spine, so you can at least feel satisfied dying in a fair fight?

[From his new place on the bar, the demon rolls over a little to where he's on his side and can see both the angel and Hei. It takes him a second to work up to speech again, and when he speaks his voice is cracked and hoarse.]
No...don't. Angel. Don't.

[There's nothing he can really say to explain this, so he stays silent.]

[His attention is back on Hei now.] I'm not going to kill a man on his knees. [And Hei's spine is fixed.] Now, if you would be so kind as to stand, I would like to get this bit of business out of the way.
no subject
Angel...please. It was just a...a misunderstanding.
[looking over at Hei now, though he's still speaking to Aziraphale]
Hei thought I'd hypnotized him. It's my fault. I was just messing around.
no subject
Thought you'd...don't bullshit me, Crowley. What exactly was that, if it wasn't hypnosis?
[He drags himself to his feet, aching all over and feeling suddenly defiant.] Business, right. Sorry...not today. There are too many people here who would never let me hear the end of it if I died on them again.
[He stands still, not running but not reaching for his knives either.]

[Despite what he's saying, the flames have subsided a bit.]

[He slithers slowly off the bar, legs a bit unsteady, and reaches for the hand of Aziraphale's that's holding the sword.]
Come on, angel. There's no need.
no subject
[This is the truth.]
So it was...me. Just me giving into temptation. It really wasn't hypnosis? [He closes his eyes and seems to fold in on himself as relief floods him. His voice is barely audible when next he speaks.]
Thank God...

[For the time being.]

Ngh. Yeah. Thanks...for all that.

That's a bit of an understatement.
[And this would be about the time he'd normally ask the angel if he'd care for a drink, buuuut they just left Hei in the bar. Dammit.]
D'you...want a drink? I could get something from the flat, bring it back here?
no subject
[Er.]
no subject
Right. I'll be back in a tick.
[Finally he lets go of the angel's hand and drops from the Plane]

You're telling me.
[Mimics Aziraphale, sitting up for a moment to take a healthy drink before setting the bottle down between the two of them and laying back down. He sighs.]
Lucky you were around.

'For you see, the face of destiny or luck or god that gives us war also gives us other kinds of pain: the loss of health and youth; the loss of loved ones or of love; the fear that we will end our days alone. Some people suffer in peace the way others suffer in war. The special gift of that suffering, I have learned, is how to be strong while we are weak, how to be brave when we are afraid, how to be wise in the midst of confusion, and how to let go of that which we can no longer hold. In this way, anger can teach us forgiveness, hate can teach us love, and war can teach us peace.'

'Only after disaster can we be resurrected.'

'I am Jack's smirking revenge.'
[Crowley chuckles and reaches for the wine again]
