[Martha is cooking! Unfortunately, it's hard to tell what she's cooking, because whatever it was is now a blackened lump in the skillet, and there are flames leaping up. So she's not really cooking as much as she's trying to find a fire extinguisher or a towel, or possibly some water. Or, you know, something to put out the fire.

...which has now spread to the towel she just used to try to smother it, whoops. Fire control is not Martha's forte.]

Ah!

[Brush time! Ammy Power Slashes the faucet handle on the sink to turn the water on, then draws a line from the stream of water to the fire. In the next moment the fire has been drowned out.]

That should do it. Are you alright, young one?

[Martha is duly impressed by the brush magic] Yeah, I didn't get burnt, just sort of...ruined a towel. And a pan. And I expect the Astral Kitchen'll smell of smoke for awhile. [embarrassed look]

[Yeah brush techniques!] Ah, well, this is nothing compared to when I set that, hm, oven thing on fire. Apparently my technique for making pizza leaves something to be desired~

Oh, but, I have found that this place seems to repair itself rather quickly.

[raised eyebrow] Don't you, er, need hands to make pizza?

Oh, well, I had hands at the time~

[smile] I have the same sort of problems with baking, really. Ovens are trickier than most people think.

They're certainly a lot trickier than a simple fire!

[chuckle] I expect I'd manage to set things on fire with a fire, too. Me, I think I'll be sticking to microwaves from now on.

[she gestures to the device, since there's presumably one in the kitchen] It's used for cooking food quickly, like in only a few minutes.

Goodness! How convenient!
