{Robespierre appears on the Astral Plane, giving the sudden change in surroundings slightly more attention than the book in his hands. For most, he seems especially out of place, wearing fine and stylish clothes---circa 1740. He does not seem surprised by the stars all around, but certainly interested.}

...A never-ending night sky? How magnificent.

{He closes the book and puts it securely under his arm as he merely starts to look at the stars quietly.}

It's quite the sight.

Is this merely an illusion cast by the senses, or is this a real place?

I only wish it were the former.

How troublesome. Is it possible to return from whence we came?

It is. Just think of home, and you will return the--[Poof]

{But that last part came to no one since Robespierre got enough to try it himself. But he reappears only a moment after Mu returned.}

...I see. How unprecedented. Yet if this is not an illusionary place, then what is it, monsieur?

I've no concrete answer to give you, sadly, but what I do know is that this is a place that seems to bend reality .

Such a feat seems quite impossible. I was under the impression that the concept of reality, while its definition may vary person to person, was quite a rigid thing.

As was I, alas this place proves us both quite wrong.

Then may I ask how so?

This is a concept much easier to illustrate than explain - I am from Greece, 1986.

Ah.

Then this place would seem to serve as a convergence point for times and people...I am from France, 1743.

More than that - I have met several colleagues of mine who have recollections of certain events that are far different from mine.

Then I can only assume that this place is one that should, logically, not exist. Such a place seems to defy the laws that govern the existence of our world, so set by only God.

I am of a similar opinion, and yet here we are nonetheless.

{Long pause} I suppose if it is of no harm and returning home is as simple as a thought, however, it is not of the utmost importance. In any case, thank you, monsieur.

{He bows his head gratefully} I am Maximilien Robespierre.

Is there a name for this place, or have those that come to visit thought it irrelevant?

This is the Astral Plane. If it has another name, I do not know it.

It is a fitting name, at least.
