{Dietrich is a busy bee! He never comes here other than to work. But today his work is a bit more true to his actual occupation. A few people have seen this kind of thing before, but never without its helmet.

He's working on an Autojäger, wearing a surgical apron and gloves splattered lightly with both oil and blood. Dietrich has a small table of surgical tools next to him, and the corpse puppet is laying on an operating table.

Obviously, he's not terribly concerned about people knowing his "identity" anymore. Not after the TARDIS broadcasting it to the world.}

...They're useful, that's for sure, but maintaining them is a bit messy. If only people wouldn't damage them so badly, I wouldn't have so much to do just to repair them. I mean, this one is still perfectably useable with some adjustments.

{He picks up a pair of scissors and starts to cut away the stitches binding its head together}

It's easier than having to make one from scratch, at least.

Surprising. Most people are repulsed by them. I call them Autojägers. Reanimated corpses in the simplest sense, but only by science. The organization I work for uses them as foot soldiers, and the corpses themselves are former members.

Ah, no idea. The bodies just get dumped in the morgue and preserved until I get the chance to make another. For most of them, I have no idea who they were before or how they died other than just looking at the corpse.

{Thoughtfully} This one probably got poisoned, actually. The flesh is tough.

Most of the time I'm not responsible for the corpses that get allocated to be Autojägers. They're just former members of the Orden killed on duty or in...arguments.

If I killed them then they won't be sent as ordinary foot soldiers, after all. There's a special connection, after all.

It can be poetic if you'd like, but if my strings infect them while they're still alive, that means I can replicate their personality even past death. They're more useful for infiltration.
