[Enter the Griever! As always, the blond hair, glowing red eyes and echo-y voice pretty much guarantee you won't recognize him as Chris. He appears with some momentum, and smacks into the wall of the ballroom. A hand is at his side, where some green blood seeps slowly through his fingers. He looks pretty incredulous.]

Who actually gives a little girl a sniper—?! [Realization dawns!] ...rifle. [He knocks his head back against the wall. Guess who just discovered his merge with Henrietta?] You've got to be kidding.

[Would be moving over to hug her or something, but, um... bullet wound. So he just shifts a little closer before stopping.]

I don't know. [She's flailing internally SO VERY HARD right now. Because. What? WHAT? If Signore Jose ordered her to shoot Chris or Hei or Crowley, she wouldn't do it. WHAT?!]

There's nothing wrong with you, okay? [Well, aside from the obvious conditioning...]

But I would disobey. [Nnnnng. She.. sort of has a headache.]

[He smiles to himself, but just a tiny bit, and it disappears soon when he notices she looks kind of pained. Quietly;] Like I said... there's nothing wrong with you.

But... [Looks at him rather desperately] This is wrong. I'm wrong.

[In the same quiet tone, earnestly;] No... No, you're not. Alright?

But... how can I want to disobey and not be wrong?

It's called having an opinion. And that's not wrong.

But--I don't need to. Have opinions. That's not important for me to function properly.

So? You can have them anyway.

I know I can like things, like books and movies and ice cream, but... Last time I wanted to disobey, last time I did, I had to kill a lot of people and almost ruined the mission.

A man threatened signore Jose, and I wanted to kill him, so I did, even though signore Jose told me not to do anything until he said so. And then the other men attacked, and I killed them too.

The guy who threatened Jose.

Then... I think it's a little different. The reason you wouldn't want to kill me, or Hei or Crowley is because you know us. It's not wrong to have an opinion on something you know about, you know?

Well... I guess, but that isn't what I mean. What if you or signore Hei or signore Crowley were there when I was doing a mission, and you were a witness? I wouldn't... [She has to pause for a moment to consider the words--] I really wouldn't kill you. But if I'm not by myself, someone else would try, and I think I would stop them.

In that situation... I'm pretty sure any one of us would be able to defend ourselves. You wouldn't have to worry about that.
