[Somewhere near the forest, Ryotarou appears. In his arms is some sort of wriggling bundle. He sits down near the trees and shifts his grip on the something — it actually looks like some sort of cross between a rat, a cat and a chihuahua, obviously not of earthly origin.]

Shh... Shhh, it's okay. [He pauses to check that no one is in sight, then starts to murmur to the alien... in Cat. He was totally speaking English before, by the way. It's like trying to have a conversation purely using Babelfish, but it's better than nothing.] Like I was saying, when someone says 'Henshin', that's when you change to look like a cat. Then... you won't have to stay with us at Torchwood anymore.

Yeah... Which is why I want to teach it to change back into a cat and stay like that.

I'm glad to be better. It could be catastrophic if the Syndicate sent someone after me while I was sick. Fortunately they haven't found us yet.

Do you think they'll be able to...? I mean, you were with Diva-san, right?

Yeah. The people who came after us before are all dead. But there's a chance that the Syndicate will still be able to find us--a big chance, actually. They're extremely thorough. And even though her home is in Canada, it's technically part of Tokyo now.

[Slowly, rhythmically petting the alien while he listens. He frowns a little.] Isn't there anything you can do?

[Shrugs.] Wait until they find me, then run.

Hmm... [Looks down at the alien in his lap that now seems to be purrhumming extra sleepily, but he frowns as its tail tightens around his wrist the sleepier it gets.]

Try to unwind it. [Concerned now.]

[Shifts his hand around and works at the tail, prodding and pulling lightly at different points, but it only readjusts itself whenever he does manage to loosen it. Oops.] Um... I think it's stronger than I am.

[Nods, and moves his hand to shake at the thing's stomach. It whips around and nips at his fingers with a displeased sound, but the tail loosens and starts to twitch languidly.] ... there.
