[Kougaiji appears on the plane, bringing with him a low, small table with a stack of Mahjong tiles. He appears to be in the middle of a game of solitaire, though he's quickly finding matches and therefore just looks bored with it.

After a few matches, he drums his fingers against the table, no longer focusing on the game. He mutters something about Koushou to himself.]

((OoC: ... I don't even have an excuse for my lack of activity, aside from school kicking my ass. Continually. ::hangs head in shame:: Give me another chance...?))

[He shakes his head slowly, working to put the tiles back in some semblance of where they were before.]

[He smiles a bit, but doesn't look up at her.] Do they have anything like this in your reality?

[ She sits at the other end of the table, watching him. ] Not that I know of. What's it called?

It's Mahjong. To play it by yourself, you simply find matching tiles and remove them from the wall. It has to be open, though, which makes it a little harder.

[Zuko is curious, especially about the Mahjong tiles, but he keeps his distance.]

[Kougaiji's perceptive enough to see Zuko watching, but respectful enough not to call him out on it.]

... That one is better with two people.

[He nods in response, but doesn't look up. He takes off another match.]

Everyone else was busy. But I take it you know the game?

It's been a long time since I played it, but I remember enough. [a pause] I mean, if you don't mind playing with someone. I wouldn't want to intrude or... anything.... uh... [He's beginning to think this is a mistake.]

[He shakes his head.] Skill doesn't matter right now, anyway. I haven't played an actual game in a while, anyway.

I haven't played since...since I was really little. In ten years or more. [Sits down across from Kougaiji.] My mother would play with some of the other women in the town, and I'd watch. [Nostalgic smile.]
