[Everyone missed the Doctor, right? Of course. But today is a bit different.

You see, he's talking to a plant. The plant is on a metal, rounded picnic table and he brought a tree that appears to be going through autumn and an area of grass with it from whatever planet he was on. But the important part is that he's sitting at the table with a sandwich, eating it and talking to this plant]

You know, you really are brilliant. ...No, really! I mean that. Sane, nice, loves Elvis. Also, you're not violent. You have no idea what a rarity that is these days.

[he shakes his head with a sigh and keeps munching on his sandwich and talking to the plant]

[glances up from the plant] Hm? Oh, yes, quite fine. How are you?

Um. I'm all right. [>>] Who are you?

[blinks at her] Don't you... Ah, well. I'm the Doctor.

Misaki Kirihara. [Wandering over. Do you perhaps notice now, oh observant one, that she is both shorter and and more childish than you are familiar with?] How can you tell it likes Elvis?

[He's not entirely sure what to say about that] He seems to like it when I have Elvis on. So! Misaki, you, erm...used to be taller. And older. Not that I'm holding it against you.

[Mrrt. She looks away.] I'm not the one you know and I'm not in an experiment, okay?

All right, all right, just asking. Trust me, there's several of me, I know the feeling.

Really? The way everybody was acting I thought I was the only one with... another version.

Nope! I've got an alternate version and a human version. It's a bit odd but ah well. People seem to be able to tell the difference after a while.

...human version?

Oh, right. I'm not human. One of the people who look like me is, though.

Are you a vampire or a ghost?

Neither! I'm a Time Lord. ...An alien, basically.

That makes more sense in a place like this than a vampire.

Does it really?

With the stars and stuff I guess I think 'alien' before I think 'vampire who likes sharing her personal life' or 'ghost who catches people that fall off buildings'.

Ah, well! I'm not from this place, either. Just as captured as any of you are.

I figured. Still makes more sense, though.

Oh, I suppose it does make relative sense. ...Actually, you're quite unsurprised that I'm an alien.

Should I be? Surprised, I mean?

Well, I suppose not. But most people get...curious at least.

You probably get bugged about it a lot, right?

[blinks] Well, yes.

So I'm not going to pester you unless you want to talk about it.
