[Ahhh, the beach~ Katara is there. Yay beach!

She's fresh off another infuriating conversation with Zuko, though thankfully (for him) it didn't last long enough for her to really lose her temper. Now she is attempting to refocus and train in the weird environment that is the Plane with all its weird moons.

She stands close enough that the water laps against her bare feet. Deep breath; hands out, palm down over the water. She snaps around in a low circle, bringing her body and hands surging upwards as she faces the water again.

A thirty-foot wall of ice rockets up, crackling into life for as far as the water stretches and leaving the water level substantially lower on either side.]

[Hanging back and "watching."] Is it weird at all? With no moons nearby?

It is weird. But not because there's no moon. There's several.

[Frowns.] Hey, Katara. Can you tell what this ground is made of? People say it's just darkness, but is there anything else?

[Holds her hands out parallel to the ground and closes her eyes.] ...I don't feel any--wait. There's water down there. Not a lot, but it's there.

Really? Water? [Stomps a foot.] ...I don't feel anything.

[Ooh water! Bai approves heartily of all the water] Impressive.

[Quick motion that melts the ice.] Not really.

[One hand up, the other drawing back to her side in a gentle circle. Push and pull. The ice melts. She pivots around, draws in hands into her side and thrusts out. Water erupts into steam; another circle and she winds the steam around herself--outward shove--the steam condenses and roars away from her in a column of water.]

True, but in my world most do not use both aspects of it. I know someone who uses ice in his attacks but does not use water in anyway.
