It's called solidarity, and it's the only goddamn reason I have the position that I do. I am the only female section chief in the NPA. The only one, and not for lack of trying on the part of many other trainees. I like you, Mu--but you really need to think about what you're saying.

I think you need to look at things from my perspective instead of yours. I do not see them as woman. I do not see them as oppressed, restricted, or in any way denied opportunities. They are Saints. That is all. They are equals. If they were going to be discriminated or shunned, it would not be because of their gender. The emulate and serve their goddess. And if there is a lack of something at Sanctuary, I assure you, it is not solidarity.

If they were equals, they wouldn't be imposed upon in ways that the men are not. Beyond denying their sex, which they--like the men--would be required to do anyway, beyond so-called protection from sexual harassment--which also shouldn't happen among equals [yeah she's ttly harping on that point]--what purpose do the masks serve?

Honestly. I want to know.

Regardless, there's be no way for me alone to abolish such a thing, and I doubt any of my peers would care enough. The only one who can make such a decision would be Athena herself. But I do understand where you're coming from.

All it takes is one person caring enough. [Sigh.] But you'll at least talk to them? Ask them about it, actually seek their opinions? Even if only Athena can make the final decision, the opinions of her followers can't be meaningless.
