[Susan! Speaking Greek and looking very upset.]

What in the world is going on?! Everyone I know is either speaking... What is this, is this Greek? Or some gibberish language that I--it's like nothing I've ever heard and...! I used to speak Ukrainian. I used to be fluent in Ukranian. Now I can't remember a word of it at all.

[English. She recognizes it as English. The fact that she can't understand a word of it nearly makes her burst into tears.] What? I can't... I don't understand you.

[Holds up his hands in a "calm down" gesture.] Hey, calm down. It's alright.

Well, let's see. You're not trilingual or quadrilingual or whatever, plus, well, unless you're just trying to annoy me you seem to have no control over it. Plus that language sounds nothing like anything I've ever heard so...

It's this place, isn't it? This... [He makes a sweeping gesture at the Plane, and then taps his throat and raises his eyebrows at Susan, waiting for an answer.]

[Time paradox! Ammy shows up carrying her list and meowing.] Ah, I don't know who you are or if you can understand me--but I'm putting together this list!

[Shows Susan the list. It has pictures of a bunch of people with arrows connecting them and tick marks above the arrows.]

Greek

[She freezes. Because GIANT WOLF. MEOWING GIANT WOLF. SHOWING HER PICTURES. One thing too many.] ...I...don't.... [Annnd she'll be passing out now.]

[She starts licking Susan's nose and forehead, trying to wake her up.]

[She groans and opens her eyes, sees Amaterasu and squeaks, not moving.] Good dog. Good... giant meowing dog.

Oh! Don't be afraid, I...hm... [Switches to German.] I am a nice wolf! I am not going to harm you...oh dear. [She lies down and rests her head on the ground, and makes a dog-like whining sound, thumping her tail a little.]

[Still German,] But, the language you're speaking now, that is the language that Ryotarou and Diva can speak.

[Ryotarou approaches cautiously. She seems stressed. D: Speaks in Fa'Dielian because it's so much less embarrassing than Cat:] Ahm... are you alright?

[Stare. Still in Greek,] I understood that. I under--hang on. [After a moment she manages to switch.] Do you--can you understand what I'm saying?

[he nods!] I don't know what this language is called, but you're only the second person I've met that can speak it, too.

[She closes her eyes.] Thank God. I was starting to think I wouldn't actually be able to speak to anyone.

I know how you feel... but I'm beginning to think there's at least two people who speak any one language. [He watches her for a moment, still kind of concerned about how upset she was earlier.]

[Knows that language but his first attempt at speech is a depressing sort of yowl, which he cuts off halfway, slamming his mouth shut and covering it with his hands]

[If Susan were not all growed up she would be whimpering. If she hadn't had a wolf meow at her already before starting to speak German she would be far more weirded out.] Are you.... are you all right?
