[Fumie is just a bit bloody and bruised, her t-shirt and shirt torn and she is positively beaming like crazy]

WE TOOK DOWN GODZILLA! [waves around a jar with a pretty damn mighty jewel in it] I told you we could! Me and Sam know what we're doing. It was like the giant fish but a much greater challenge. And I don't lose any challenges, so!

That'll teach monsters to eat whatevers. [nods firmly]

*smiles and holds his hand out a bit*

My dear, it's rarely a matter of hurt. Many of the worst injuries barely hurt at all. I only want to make sure yours won't get worse.

Well... [holds out her arm] My upper arm got kind of scratched up when I fell. And my leg hurts.

*Takes the arm gently, inspects the cuts, and lays his fingers on it softly, not applying any pressure* This may tingle, but it won't hurt. *His hand glows gold, and the flesh beneath knits itself back together quickly*

Now, for the leg... Have a seat.

[blinks in surprise] Oh wow. You can heal by touching...? [sits down and tenderly stretches out her leg]

*sits as well, feeling around the leg gently for breaks or other damage to the bone*

Not quite. I'm manipulating your atomic structure, to put it simply. I'm coaxing the atoms that make you up back into their proper place. Having my fingers in place just helps me focus on the atoms that need coaxing.

That's really scientific sounding for something kind of magic like. [looks curiously] Is my leg okay?

Most people here understand the science behind it better than the mystic side - I could give you the explanation given to everyone who learns to do this, if you'd like.

*wraps both his hands around gently, spreading them out as much as he can. Again, they glow gold and there's a tingle in Fumie's leg*

It's not broken, but the muscles are strained. You should rest it awhile.

Is it complicated...?

[tests her leg a bit and smiles] It feels better, though. Thanks! And hopefully no more monsters show up.

It is for some. The underlying principle states that everything that exists is, fundamentally, the same. Stars, rocks, fire, and flesh. Everything is built from atoms.

I believe most of the monsters have been defeated.

That makes sense...I read that in a biology textbook.

Good. Those stupid things were really annoying.

*smiles* Children make sense of it quicker than adults do. They learn to harness the power that this knowledge grants faster as well.

[pauses and considers this] Does that mean I could learn how to do that?

It would require you spent most of you waking hours with me training with it, but perhaps.

I don't know if my mom would like me dropping out of school to learn healing...not!spells.

Time in our worlds seems to stop when we're here...It would be no inconvenience for me to teach you on this plane.

That's true. And I could catch up on sleep here if I needed to. All right! I want to learn. That could come in handy.

Now, I cannot guarantee results, but there is a feeling about that suggest you may be capable of a decent degree of control. Just remember, it will be very hard work...
