[Have a Misaki. And a swimming pool. Because she really didn't feel like going home, and would prefer to avoid awkward questions and unpleasant realizations as long as possible. In denial? Certainly not.

She breaks the surface with a gasp, her expression one of calm enjoyment, before striking out for the far end of the pool in long, even strokes.]

[And Amaterasu comes walking across your pool, Jesus-style, sniffing at the water. Lily pads sprout in the water where she's stepped.]

What strange water! What is it that makes it smell so odd? [Laps up a little water and makes a face at the taste.] Heavens, what a taste. And yet it is safe to swim in??

[She jerks, flounders and starts coughing, gagging a few times before making it to the wall. And then she just sort of... stares.] You're a bit different than the hyena.

Goodness, I'm sorry if I startled you! I was just so intrigued by the arrival of so much water. [She trots over to the wall near Misaki (leaving lily pads) and steps onto the dry floor, shaking out her paws.] What exactly is a hyena?

It's... an animal. A dog, sort of. There's one around somewhere. It talks.

I have not had the pleasure of meeting it yet! Another animal that can communicate with humans, is it? A very rare breed, I've found.

[Just...watching from the pool edge, halfway between incredulity and sheer happiness, because XOMG Misaki in a bathing suit. He's in a much better mood than before.]

[Doesn't notice him until her second lap, when her hand touches his foot instead of the wall. She frowns up at him.] How long have you been there?

[Jack spots the swimming pool and comes closer. When he sees it's Misaki swimming a grin appears on his face; he doesn't say anything, though, just stands at the edge of the pool, waiting for her to notice his presence]

[The thread just seems to amuse Jack more] Is that an offer to join you? Because I have to warn you; I tend to swim in the nude unless explicitly told otherwise.

Sometimes even then, but then that person doesn't seem to mind anymore.
