[And here's Hei again, back to his normal blank and emotionless self--except maybe for a vague sort of frustration--sometime after this. Oh, and he's also pretty much covered in blood. It's spattered all over the front of his coat and the sleeves are largely drenched in it. There's some spatter on his face and neck as well, though he doesn't really seem to notice. He's also holding his knife--also covered in blood and dripping it onto the floor, adding to the mess.]

[He looks around, a bit surprised by his surroundings, then just shrugs.]

So much for that.

[And he sets about trying to clean off his knife with a rag, muttering about drycleaning.]

[Shoves his hands into his pockets.] Still gonna try and play the scrub?

[Rolls his eyes a little.] I hardly ever understand what you're saying, you know.

[Just chuckles, though it's a bit more feral than usual.] Scrub. Student. Not my fault you don't speak my language.

So who pissed in your coffee, anyway?

[Long pause, tra la laa cleaning knife.]

I found some of the people who killed Misaki.

[Grimly,] No.

Damn. Goin' back for more once you aren't swimming in the ones you did cool?

[Long pause; Hei looks angry at himself.] They escaped. I don't know where they've gone.

[Dark look. He's thoughtful for a moment.] I might... be able to help you, there.

[Looks sidelong at Firo.] Oh?

That man I mentioned, Szilard? Well... [He doesn't quite look at Hei, clearing his throat and swallowing hard.] Well, when an immortal eats someone, they take in that person's knowledge, too. He... knew how to find people. It's how he found so many other immortals.

[Regards Firo for awhile in silence.] So he's the one you ate.

[Pauses, then,] Any help you can offer would be welcome.

And you're splattered with ten kinds of blood, so I think that makes us pretty even.

It might take a bit. I don't use spells the way he did. I mean, I don't use them as much. Going in to his memories... hurts. It's disorienting, too. Those headaches and all.

[Smirks and looks down at himself.] Only six, I think. Maybe seven.

Don't push yourself. You don't have to be involved in this.

[Shrug.] Not saying I plan on diving into your world's mess. Got enough in my own. Saying I might be able to mix up something that'd help you.
