[because Dero can't survive with the Brig being dead any longer, he's alive and on the Plane. he's inwardly quite disturbed, you know, by the fact he was killed and now is alive - and it shows on his face via... him just looking thoughtful, really.

the Brig takes just a moment or so before seeming to 'snap' out of it, and then he assumes his general neutral expression]

Well. Seems I'm in need of a new gun.

Protecting the lives of others is never 'sad'. One life is insignificant next to a handful of them, and if I can damn well put a stop to you and keep them alive, I will.
