[Two figures face each other. The space between them feels like miles.]

I knew you'd come back. [Wolfgang is still dressed in his unassuming suit and he is alone. It's a stark contrast to Da Tian, who is wearing a full set of wicked cult-like robes in azure and gold. Three black-cowled figures stand beside him, their faces obscured, but wearing similar gold patterns on their cloaks. Wolf straightens.] This is where it ends. I won't allow you to sacrifice these people for your new world.

[Tian shakes his head.] They hardly need to be sacrificed-- but that is up to you. We can still end this without bloodshed, Wolfgang Albrecht. Just give over control to me. You know the deepest recesses of it by now, do you not? You know that the possibilities are endless. Give up on Thalei. Join me, old friend.

[Wolf's eyes flash fire-red.] These are my people, too, and I'll protect them even if I die! I won't let the Machine fall into the hands of someone who's hurt them! JHIL, THE WARDS!

[There's a bright, almost blinding purple light as force fields appear over the kitchen and the library.]

Impressive. [Tian smiles like a knife, and it stretches far too wide to be friendly.] Their lives are on your shoulders now, Wolfgang.

[Tian and his lieutenants shimmer out of sight. The ground quakes and trembles. Without warning, something rips through space. It's a huge ice elemental, and it paves the way for an army of skeletons, constructs, angels, and slimy eyeless beasts from the water.

Wolf calls out across the Plane. Jhil, Roen, and the small statured Shaman all step out to guard the cluster of buildings that have formed the backbone of the Plane for ages.]

NOW'S THE TIME TO FIGHT! IF YOU CAN'T, TAKE SHELTER!

[ooc: The plot has begun! Feel free to make your own toplevels, and/or use the elemental toplevel for ease of planning because they're HUGE.

The lieutenant battles will go up in a week according to the timeline, and Wolf will be organizing the teams in a few days ICly.

ICE ELEMENTALS

[While everything else is easily dealt with, the hulking ice elementals might require teamwork to take down. And they're going after the buildings!]

KITCHEN - defense | any time, the whole plot! no srsly.

[ Anything that dares to come anywhere near the kitchen is gonna get sliced clean in two, of Rin has anything to say about it!

The boy has thrown caution to the wind - because it's different in space, especially in a huge fight, isn't it? - and his sword is drawn. And with Kurikara unsheathed, his true form is revealed.

His ears have drawn to points at their tips. His tail is unfurled and no longer hidden under his clothes. But even above those? What stands out the most is the blue fire that seems to have completely engulfed the boy. ]

I don't know what you are, but you get the HELL OUTTA HERE!!

[ And with a mighty, demonic growl, he swings his sword, catching the shambling undead thing in the neck and slicing it easily in half, blue fire swallowing it whole.

This kid means business. ]

[obviously, as their main source of food and drink, the kitchen's pretty high on Hawk's list of priorities. Though someone's already there- and working impressively, at that.

Hawk whistles as he gets closer.]

Impressive! I hope they'll take the hint, but… [he scans the area for more, frowning.] Think you'll need any cover?

[ Rin grins at the other as he gets closer, but is immediately back in a fighting stance after a brief moment. He knows there's more where these things have been coming from, and he's not tired yet! ]

I doubt they'll learn, so... the more of us, the better! Let's kick their asses!

Well, we can hope. But if they need it, we'll just have to kick it into their heads, won't we?

[he slides his daggers out, looking for the next one.]

LIBRARY - healing - also NPC request (maybe?) | 11 March

[ Well. This has been quite a... show.

Jacqli hasn't been present very much - not fighting (which... might be rather shocking, actually, to anyone who'd know her), but also not staying in the main areas of the library or the kitchen. She's been keeping to herself. She's had... a hell of a lot to think about.

She's here now, though. And if anyone needs healing, she tends to that first and foremost.

At some point... she makes tea. Specifically, for Wolfgang and his company. She doesn't stick around to have any for herself, only leaves it where it can be seen. She's not really all that thirsty anyway. Besides, there are more people to heal already - ridiculous humans and their constant fighting... Ugh.

Her? Worried about something? Whatever. ]

[The teapot is completely emptied whenever Jacqli goes to check on it. Wolfgang has left a note by way of thanks.]

various buildings | any time

[With a lot of the enemies seeming to be after the buildings to start with, and Hawk being not quite as well suited for the front lines, he's going to go around and try to make sure there's a little bit of protection. Arrow traps might not do a lot of damage, but hopefully it'll be better than nothing. Anything on the approach, on the other hand, gets a set of spikes from under them- with luck, it'll have them watching their feet (or equivalent) for a time.]
