[Guess who's back? Shun is on the Plane sitting next to his god cloth away from everyone else, arms resting on knees draw up to his chest. He looks a little down and very, very thoughtful.]

[Logic does NOT work on Saints Hei :\] Maybe I'm not the only who is affected by Hades, but I am the one person he claims is his vessel. If a price has to be paid then I'll be the one to do it.

[Part of the reason they confuse him so much :|]

[Sighs. He's not entirely happy with this situation.] Alright. If that's what you want.

Do you intend to go to the Twins, though?

[nods] I'll go to the Twins. If they can seal Hades, then any price will be worth it.

Hades shouldn't have been able to come back in my world, but he did. I want to ask the Twins if they know why that happened too.

[Frowns, because this wasn't what Hei wanted.] You shouldn't have to. Think it over, Shun. Don't let them make you their tool too.

[Grimly,] It's likely because of this place.

I'm a Saint. We're meant to fight Hades, and all of us are willing to give up everything to stop him. This isn't any different. If it means making sure Hades can't hurt anyone else, I'll do anything.

[Stares at Shun for awhile, realizing he's not going to get anywhere with him. He's kind of regretting telling him about making deals with the Twins now, but he stays silent.]

[Then, dryly,] Has anyone ever told you that you're all way too noble for it to be healthy?

[Smiles] That's just the way Saints are.

[Remembers something he was going to ask before the whole Twins issue was raised] Li, how did you do the shock thing? Even Hades felt that and I thought you didn't have any cosmo.

[Smiles back, shaking his head a little.]

[It fades almost immediately at the question, though. Quietly,] So you remember that.

[He's quiet for a long time.]

You're right. It's not cosmo. It's...nothing like cosmo.

There are people in my world with certain abilities. They're called Contractors. [Glances at Shun.] Those Gates I told you about...Contractors began appearing the same time the Gates did.

[Goes blank.] They're soulless monsters without emotion or empathy, acting only on logic and the need to survive. They're good only as killing machines, so they're employed as such. They're not to be trusted.

[Digests this for a moment. Do you really think yourself that way? That you can't be trusted?

Yes.

[Looks at Li curiously] Why did you try to help with Hades?

[A bit confused by the question.] Because I didn't want this place or anyone in it to disappear. [Frowns at his choice of words but it's too late to rephrase now.]

I don't think you're as bad as you think you are. You cared about this place and tried to help. Doesn't that mean something?

And how do you know it wasn't purely selfish?

Because what you did didn't seem like a selfish thing to do.

[And Hei has no response to that, so he just looks away, frowning a little.]

[Shun is just watching him, not sure what to say next]

[Hei gets to his feet. He pauses for a moment, staring at nothing, then he glances at Shun.]

Enjoy the cake.

[And he wanders off.]
