Three? I think?
[There's a new piece of furniture on the Plane! ....Actually that's a lie, it's just Castor laying on the floor. The blessedly, sweet cold floor. Lying beside her is what looks to be a large lump of vaguely dog-shaped fur...except it's longer than she is tall, and might be a small bear.
Also, the beardog probably notices you before Castor does, looking up with big eyes and a lazy wag of a tail. Castor just rolls over, onto her back with something of a mighty sigh, but at least now it's easy to see how flushed her face is. ]
Leda, I swear to every god in Ourissia, if you bark, I'm going to leave you at Allistair's again.
[The beardog, Leda, if her attention is anything to go by, only whines a little, then lays her head back down, but looks back to whoever approached the pair. Her tail is still wagging.]

Okay, okay, we'll go look. Now behave or no fish later, understood? [He gives the dragon a look, but his mirrored visor only reflects back the dragon's own excited expression instead of showing his rather stern look. His tone, however, registers loud and clear. The little green dragon stops bouncing around, and sits on the starry ground, purring and waiting for him to move. This obedience only lasts for all of two seconds after he starts walking forward again and the dragon starts to tug on its leash again in excitement. He sighs, but once he's closer, he spots Castor beyond the giant dog (bear? he's still not sure.)]
Long time no see. [He tugs a little sharply on the dragon's leash to get it to stop bouncing around. It huffs a little, a hint of flame curling out of its nostrils, and sulkily sits on the ground. After a second, it starts to inch closer to giant furred thing in front of it.] Is this your...dog? [His voice rises up in pitch as he tries the word on for size, having no other he can honestly use, plus he's a little distracted in that very same moment by her flushed face.] Um, are you okay?
no subject
Yeah, 's Leda. [And what the sweet shit is flying around Wash's head] Is that your...flying lizard?
no subject
I see... And, well, this is my dragon. And thankfully, she can't do much more than hop around a lot. [He doesn't look forward to the flying stage.] Here, let me help you up. [He loosens the leash a bit and moves over to help Castor sit up.]

[Leda diffuses the Dragon's attempts at being skurry by giving it a mighty lick. Castor takes his hand and hauls herself up, managing to stand, albeit a little wobbly.]
Thanks...I think.
no subject
[Wash nods in reply to her thanks, putting a hand around her back to keep her supported.] I think your dog found its pause button. [The little dragon has decided that 'sit down and stay stunned' is the appropriate response while it sorts out what it wants to do next.] Can you walk? Do you need me to carry you or...something?

Hey Theta, come out here for a second. There's something you need to see.
[Sure enough, the AI appears with a little flash of light in his hand.] What is it, North?
Turn around, five o'clock. About sixty-three feet away from our position. [He nods his head in the direction he means.]
Uh, okay... [Even as he's turning, Theta runs a quick scan of the area and notes two notes of interest in those coordinates in his motion tracking programming. That said, even being aware of the two, the AI visible jumps back when he sees the giant dog.] Whoa! Is...is that--?!
[He chuckles at his AI's excited realization. He didn't know Theta knew about dogs, let alone evidently really likes them. Is that a normal thing? Between that and Theta thinking about the Alpha... He needs to talk to York sometime. He's not about to talk to Wyoming about this. Not yet, anyway.] I think so, but how about we go say hi and ask? Maybe you can pet it. [He moves his hand up to his shoulder to set the AI up there as he starts to walk over.]
You think so? I'd really like to! [They both know it won't be possible, not with Theta being a hologram, but through North...maybe, just maybe, he'll be able to get an idea of what it's like. The closer they get to the person and the giant dog, though, the closer Theta moves in towards North's head. He's getting better about meeting people but damned if he still isn't shy meeting people North hasn't talked to him about yet.]
Hey...Castor, right? Do you need a hand up?
no subject
Mmm, no. Floor is pretty nice right n--
[She peeks up at him with glassy eyes, and the first thing she notices is, naturally, Theta.]
-ow...Is...there something on your shoulder? Or has my fever gotten worse?
no subject
Hold on, you have a fever? [He puts a hand to her forehead.] Theta, get me a read on her temperature.
Okay. [Theta's light dims slightly while he does this.]
This is my AI, Theta. He's just going to take your temperature and the I'm going to move you to the mansion. I hope your friend will let me.
no subject
AI? Wha--hey!
[Leda snuffles at North a little bit, but doesn't seem too distressed by his presence. Castor doesn't yank away from North either, though she does seem to be more than a little confused.]
Oh hey, your hand is nice and cold.
no subject
then he notices castor, when she finally moves, speaks up, and you'll have to forgive him if he's momentarily surprised. ( seriously. you're so small. that thing is so large. how do you even keep a handle on her … ?
important questions, all of these. )
he moves closer, sticking his cigarette into the corner of his mouth with a small, contemplative hum. ]
Hey, you okay? [ concerned! ]

Did something happen?
[ it seems like a logical enough question to him. ]
no subject
no subject
That could take a while. [ at least, as far as all the fevers he's had are concerned. ]
I could get you something, if you wanted.
no subject
[She flops back over onto Leda, but looks up at Darren perhaps a little curiously.]
"Something?"
no subject
I guess it would depend on how you're feeling, but that always seems to help me when I'm out of it.

( and since he's pretty sure it would be easier to just drop back to his apartment, heat up some soup and bring it back as opposed to trekking all the way to the kitchen to get her something there, he's gone in a thought and back almost just as quickly, this time holding a rather large, steaming bowl of vegetable soup.
sorry if you don't like it, castor. it's all he had. )
Try this?
no subject
Castor, you all right?
no subject
[Leda noses at her a little, possibly out of concern but who knows.]
no subject
no subject
Yeah, but I'm nowhere near a town, let alone a doctor or an herbalist. About all I can do is wait, and I think it's safer to wait here.

I mean medicine. Look--hold on a tick. I'll get you something from my world. [and without further ado, she drops from the Plane, returning with a bottle of paracetamol and a glass of water. she figures she can always go back for a blanket later]
[dumping a pill into her hand, she offers it and the glass to Castor] Can you sit up? This should help.
no subject
[In the time Menzies is gone, Castor has cuddled down against Leda again, but she rouses to take the items. ] Hmm? What's this then? Never seen medicine like this before.

How long is it supposed to take?
no subject
Oh, and keep the bottle. You'll be able to take another later--see the instructions 'ere? [she points to them on the side of the bottle, figuring that making sure Castor can read the instructions for herself is safer than just giving them verbally] Follow these. It'll 'elp with the symptoms.
