❄ 6 - Plane chaos begins

[The Plane kitchen. Often, it is the saving grace for any and all hungry Plane-goers. Sometimes, it is a deathtrap, fooling people into believing it will be a safe haven.

Today, it is neither. It is the start of something bigger by a demi-god who is mad as hell--and he's not going to take it anymore.

The kitchen is empty when Loki enters it. He doesn't linger inside; he merely retrieves a piece of fruit from a bowl then leaves. But the kitchen has changed the moment he's gone, though it doesn't look like it on the surface. Nothing is out of place. The fruit looks like fruit, the meats in the fridge look like meat, the crackers in the cupboard look how they do on the box, and so on. But one touch is all it will take to make each and every food item melt into a thick sludge. It will not smell unpleasant, nor will it be hazardous to one's health. It's actually quite nutritious, but tastes like roasted boar for some reason.

But will anyone actually eat it? Well, that's
one question...]

[ooc: This is the start of Loki's plan to piss off everyone ever create enough chaos to get the hosts' attention. Details can be found here, and please keep an eye on the ooc comm for future updates for it!]

[it's out on the Plane that Menzies--or rather the Doctor--spots Loki. and since she's not the sort to just walk by, she makes her way over to him. and yes, she is still dressed as the Doctor]

Loki! Been a while. How'd godhood?

[she knows they didn't part on the most pleasant of terms last time--at least, assuming her memory can be trusted. but when has the Doctor ever been one for caution anyway?]

Ohhh, I bet. [but at the title he uses, she makes a face. it's still odd to have people that she knows think of her as someone else, even if she does at least have an idea of what's going on now] Ah, actually, I'm not her. [blandly] Sorry. I've got some of her memories, but I'm the Doctor.

[she raises an eyebrow at that response, hopeful that it implies what she thinks it does] Do you know me, then? The Doctor, I mean--not the detective.

[but she chuckles ruefully at that] Considering the state of things at the moment? I'd say I've met more 'ospitable alien environments. You know, most places you visit don't rewrite parts of your mind when you get there!

Do you really? [that interests her as the other Doctor she's met here is male and from her past. she wonders if that's Loki's idea of playing along with the experiment (since most people seem to be trying to to some extent) or if there really is another of her selves here somewhere] Well, that's one point in her favour, anyway. [if she's real. but she means that comment--some of her other selves can be a bit a dubious]

[her amusement at his surprise is obvious]
What, 'ow many people mistaking me for the detective--and not knowing me at all--do you think it would take for me to work it out? No, don't worry. I know.

[not that she plans to give him the specifics. she doesn't fully trust him, after all. but she's sure the problem is obvious to him, so there's no point in trying to hide it. she would have had to pretend to be Menzies if she'd meant to do that, and that's something she'd like to avoid if at all possible]

[she chuckles. Menzies would have scoffed at such obvious flattery, but the influence of the Sixth Doctor has coloured this personality too much for that. she smirks] Well, I do 'ave quite the breadth of experience, you know. And you'd think, considering her job, that if she's worth 'er salt, she'd be able to work it out just the same. Or could 'ave done, were she 'ere instead.

[because as much as the others have been telling her that she is this detective, it's easier for her to view them as two distinct people--two minds that have swapped places in a single body, perhaps, but two different people all the same. and only one of them is "present" now]

But what about you, then? What sort of "eventful" things 'ave been going on in your, ah, realm?

[she ignores that comment because it's hardly a shame from her point of view--not that she's been happy to see all of the detective's friends so upset, though. but she would still prefer existence over not]

Oh, I'm so glad the bloodshed didn't leave anyone the worse for wear! [her voice is dripping with sarcasm; she is clearly not impressed by his account of affairs back home. and since he's now upset her moral core, she just gives him a look at that question] What, that apple wasn't enough for you? [she scoffs] Unfortunately, this talk of whimsical deaths 'as rather ruined my appetite.

And 'ow did that go for you? [her tone is dripping with fake pleasantness]

Oh, naturally not. [she smiles, but there's nothing genuine about the expression] I'll keep it in mind. [she waves a dismissive hand] You run along and eat, if that's what you want.

[because she's not sure she'd mind seeing the back of him now that he's yet another person who doesn't know her and he's being flippant about war]
