{Diva hops onto the Astral Plane, or, at least it looks like her. The hair and eyes are the same, but everything else is completely different. With a much more boyish frame, a younger face, and even being smaller in general, it seemed as if she was wearing someone else's skin.}

Ne, that girl, she must have been bad luck. After all, you brought sister with you into New York! How sad~
But it's kind of nice to see Saya again, even if she's here to kill me and my Chevalier. Ah, last time we saw each other was on that boat, after all. She's probably still angry about that.

{Her hands release what she was holding, and she scatters what seems like glittering, blood red rubies on the invisible ground. Diva crouches down to pick one up again, holding it in between her fingers with a decidedly blank expression.}

But she didn't hesitate this time. It makes sense she'd kill my Chevalier first, but...Well, I guess Karl died the way he wanted to. Ne, but it's getting more dangerous to stay at "home". Would anyone care if I just stayed here for a while? It's really getting to be troublesome to stay at home, even with my Chevalier to protect me. If she can't find me, after all, maybe sister will leave.

{Small, grateful smile}...You think so? Most people just say it's no excuse. Ah, but it's different. There were a lot of things that took me a long time to understand! Stuff like death, life, things like that.

[didorothy]

Life isn't all black and white. There are 'mitigating circumstances,' to use legal terminology. And given everything you've told me, I'm not surprised it took you some time to understand.

[madamemoiselle]

And I'm still learning. Of course, it doesn't help that the world changes so that there's more to learn, but...Well, it's been working alright so far. So I don't have to worry too much about it, I think.

[didorothy]

At least you're still learning. Some people just stop when they think they know all they need to.

[madamemoiselle]

Ah, but I know I don't. I'm always behind, no matter what...So I at least try, because it's harder to...blend in when you don't know what a television is. {And the word television is said very carefully, as if she only recently learned the word}

[didorothy]

[he smiles, because he thinks the way she says it is cute] It's not easy, no. I'd hate to see the Guv trying to fit in in 2006, and he had to go through the same jump you did.

Hm, I guess it would have been kind of funny if he had switched homes with someone that lived in that time. Ah, but if it had been mine, he wouldn't have liked it. He doesn't seem like someone who would like practicing opera~ {Or...anyone for that matter}

[didorothy]

He got the year 2026, actually. [a beat, and then he laughs] God, no, opera wouldn't be his forte.

[madamemoiselle]

{Laughs with him before she continues} Ah, I missed that! Was he really irritated by that?

[didorothy]

I'm surprised he didn't break every piece of technology he came across. Really, it was well done, for him.

[madamemoiselle]

He's a violent kind of person like that, then? I can see that. Ah, but technology is really frustrating. It's so complicated and...difficult. {Nods as if agreeing with herself}

Like that box like the television with the letter-box...a...a...computer? {Though, "computer" it sounds less like English and more like French} Ah, it was too complicated. Solomon let me try and use his but there was so much on it that it was confusing and I gave up.

[didorothy]

I can't say I agree at all; one of my least favourite things about 1973 has been the lack of technology. Operators, God. I forgot they ever had those.

[madamemoiselle]

Operator? What's an operator?

[didorothy]

Telephone operators. Actual people who connect you to the person you want to talk to.

[madamemoiselle]

...Telephone? {A pause} Oh, do you mean those things that, well...You can talk to people without seeing them, right?

[didorothy]

Yeah, those. I guess the technology really does change quickly for you.

[madamemoiselle]

Well, the only people I would ever need to talk to would be my Chevalier. And they're always around, so...Well, I've seen people use them, but I don't think I've ever used one before.

[didorothy]

That does make sense. Telephones are invaluable for me; you always have to keep in contact with the rest of the team. The radios they use in this era aren't quite up to par, either.

[madamemoiselle]

Oh, radios, I've had to use before! Mostly in Germany and Vietnam, since it was easier that way. So while Amshel was in Munich or something like that while I was out to visit Josef, those soldiers let me borrow their radios, I think they were, just to tell him I was still alright.

[didorothy]

That was nice of them.

[madamemoiselle]

Of course. I kind of don't like that people always write those German soldiers to be bad or evil because of things like that, really. They were just normal people, you know?

[didorothy]

Soldiers generally aren't always so devoted to their causes. And the Allies committed their fair share of human rights violations. Not that you could say that to anyone in '73; all of my colleagues grew up during the war. The Blitz hit Manchester itself.

[madamemoiselle]

That's why I don't usually say anything about it. People are sensitive towards it. But there were soldiers on both sides that were very kind and there were those who were...{Glances to the side with a frown} not.

[didorothy]

'course. People are people.

Unfortunately. {She laces her fingers together} There are a lot of people that are really...horrible. There really should be more like Sam or the people here.
