{Diva hops onto the Astral Plane, or, at least it looks like her. The hair and eyes are the same, but everything else is completely different. With a much more boyish frame, a younger face, and even being smaller in general, it seemed as if she was wearing someone else's skin.}

Ne, that girl, she must have been bad luck. After all, you brought sister with you into New York! How sad~
But it's kind of nice to see Saya again, even if she's here to kill me and my Chevalier. Ah, last time we saw each other was on that boat, after all. She's probably still angry about that.

{Her hands release what she was holding, and she scatters what seems like glittering, blood red rubies on the invisible ground. Diva crouches down to pick one up again, holding it in between her fingers with a decidedly blank expression.}

But she didn't hesitate this time. It makes sense she'd kill my Chevalier first, but...Well, I guess Karl died the way he wanted to. Ne, but it's getting more dangerous to stay at "home". Would anyone care if I just stayed here for a while? It's really getting to be troublesome to stay at home, even with my Chevalier to protect me. If she can't find me, after all, maybe sister will leave.

[tilts his head a bit] Good thing I'm used to regeneration. New bodies and looks and all that. Sounds like quite the stir, though.

{Nods} Saya found us after all. I'm glad Karl was with me, even if--{Not so subtly changes the subject} But it's not really regeneration. I can change my appearance to a person whose blood I've drank.

[lets the subject change for now and gives her an honestly curious look] Does it need to be a fatal bite or could you drink, say, from a cut and gain the same benefits?

Well, I know it doesn't have to be fatal. I don't use this very often, but my Chevalier do. But most of the time they kill the person they're impersonating too. It wouldn't work if that person showed up or something.

Make sense enough. My friend, Romana, when she regenerated she based her appearance off a princess we'd just met, actually.

Hm, that must be different. I would pick the same look every time, honestly. I like the way I look, so changing it...It'd be kind of sad. Like losing a part of yourself, if that makes sense.

Oh, you can if you like. I had another friend who would probably pick the same form every time. This one is my tenth, actually, and it's fairly different looking from previous ones. A bit skinny.

Ahh, well... [scratches the back of his neck] Most Time Lords direct it but I suppose I prefer letting it direct me. Nice to be surprised! That and well, usually I'm not in a good state when I change, so I'm not able to guide it much anyway.

Oh...Well, I guess that's true. And if it's bad enough that you can't, then it really doesn't matter, as long as it works out, I suppose.

[grins a bit] I hope you're not saying I look terrible. Despite the conditions of regeneration, I usually quite like how I look.

Absolutely not! {She waves her hands slightly} Ne, I didn't it mean it that way...

It's just different. I mean, I always get my consciousness back before I'm done regenerating so...

[smiles] I know! I was just kidding. Ah but mine changes, too. It's a complete cell change. Even my brain. So! Personality changes a bit. I'm still me. I'm still 'the Doctor'. Just the first few days or so tend to be difficult, not being quite sure and all.

So that's what you meant...That must be hard, then. I wouldn't like that at all! But...Well, I hope it doesn't happen any time soon to you. I like Doctor. This one.

I can't say I'm always fond of it. But I hope so, too! I've only had this one for a few years, give or take. Time travel makes keeping track of that a bit tricky.

Hm, I guess it would. But what's traveling time like? I've been mistaken for one here, but I'm just old, so it's not the same.

Ah, it's the only way to live, really. It can get a bit confusing, though. Sometimes I meet people who already know me when I haven't actually met them yet. Or something happens because I already knew it had to happen. You get used to it after so long. But seeing the way things go and how they happened, all the people and things and places and events...it's worth it.

Like I said before, Doctor's life is exciting. But I guess it gets tiring sometimes too. It seems like it would anyways.
