[Oliver is very slowly getting through a pint of something blue as he sits at the bar, looking pensive. at the moment, he's holding the glass and sloshing it a bit, watching as the liquid slides around. he mutters to himself:] But what could've happened for all of them to be so....weird? It doesn't make any sense! [he sighs, taking another drink. currently, he's so focused on his own thoughts that he's unlikely to even notice someone joining him--which might be happening right now]
[ooc: Unbeknownst to Oliver, his flatmates have been replaced by Zygons as part of an invasion the Doctor is trying to handle. Anyone up for helping him work this out--or at least helping him through his sulking?]

[an hour later, Oliver is back in the bar, nursing a new glass. he's tapping it and generally looking fidgety and nervous as he waits, glancing at the entrance]

I don't think I saw him… did you have any luck?

[he pauses after that enthusiastic declaration, giving Hawk a slightly concerned look] And I know that sounds mad, but it's the truth. Honestly! The Doctor already knew about the invasion. Turns out he was looking for me to warn me.

It's good he found you, then. How did he find out about it?

...uh. [he scratches his head, thinking about whether the Doctor mentioned that. after a moment, he replies rather lamely:] Because he's the Doctor...? He always seems to know this stuff.
I mean, he didn't know about my flatmates. But I guess he noticed other Zygons around and found out what's going on? And that must be what's up with them! [he waves a hand for emphasis] He said they'd be drinking that weird drink and everything. They must be Zygons!

It'd make sense. [he nods] So… what's the story behind it, then? Is it something they need to survive?
no subject
I think so. [Oliver makes a face] He didn't really explain. He usually doesn't. But he said the Zygons are all over Britain--probably even worldwide. They're trying to take over the Earth! [he waves his arms to punctuate this revelation]

Really? [he sits up a little bit straighter] Then- we'd better work out how to stop them.
no subject
Definitely! [he grins, glad to have a partner-in-crime, as it were] The Doctor's working out a plan, so I can fill you in on that as he does. I was thinking to start that I could let the Zygons know I'm onto them so they might try to capture me and bring me to their base, but he didn't like that idea, so I guess I'm just supposed to lie low for now... [he's tapping at his glass as he talks, his fidgeting showing just how fond he is of that idea]

It… does sound like a risky proposition. I don't think I'd be in favour of it, either. But- if there's some way we could find out more… [he frowns, tapping the table] There's a library here, isn't there? Could it have something about them?
no subject
[Oliver brightens at that suggestion] That's a brilliant idea, Hawk! If I'm stuck on the Plane for now, I can at least do that! [he stands, abandoning his glass] Come on!

Alright, alright, I'm coming! [he grins, though, standing up and heading out of the bar]
