{Diva appears on the Astral Plane, and if she was looking bad before, it’s a lot worse now. But after what happened at her new "home", it'd be considered a miracle she was even alive. She’s nude, but covered head to toe in blood. Bandages are wrapped around her in certain places, and stitches stand out against her skin where limbs seem to have been reattached.

As soon as weight is put on her feet, she falls, as her ankles crack and bend to the side. She whimpers for a moment, curling in on herself to hold her ankles tenderly, but as her arms protest the movement as well, she finally screams in agonized pain.}

But... maybe... here, there are people who aren't human. Maybe you can find someone there. [laughs softly] Or maybe you should get nicer Chevalier.

[madamemoiselle]

I want to find someone here, and I like the people here, but...It's not the same. This place...This isn't home. If I suddenly couldn't come here anymore, then it'd be lost.

Ah, but the thing that's the same about all of my Chevalier is that they're pretty greedy. Becoming my Chevalier...it's painful. Nice people...They'd rather keep their humanity rather than trade it for power, you know?

[didorothy]

[frowns and nods] I understand, that.

What happens, to become a Chevalier?

[madamemoiselle]

They have to drink my blood and I drink some of theirs. It's not that simple, though, since it looks like it really hurts. You would think that they were trying to jump out of their own body the way that they move and scream. I always tell them, but they never listen.

{Glances over again} My blood is poison to humans. Not like it'll kill them, but it'll either make them my Chevalier or make them lose their mind and turn into the ugly ones. It's not a pleasant thing.

[didorothy]

What are the benefits of becoming Chevalier?

[madamemoiselle]

Mmm, well they're like me. They can do everything that I can, but that means that they have to drink blood too. And they're bound to me. I don't know anything about that, though, but Amshel said once that it was a feeling like being drawn towards me. But they don't really talk about it.

I think most of them had regretted it within a week. But the only way to get out of it is to die, and even that's not easy. Ah, but they do die a little easier. They're not pureblooded like me, so everything, I think, is a little weaker, but who knows.

[didorothy]

Someone'd either have to be really greedy or really in love with you to do that.

[madamemoiselle]

{Nods} Saya only has one Chevalier...well, she used to have two...but they're her Chevalier because she wanted to save their life. Humans die easily. Our blood will heal them, then forevermore, but~
Ah, but Saya's Chevalier, they really love her. Haji is really loyal to sister, and Riku was too. Mine are too, but it's not the same. It's just greed~

[didorothy]

And there's no other way? To have someone there to wake you, to stay with you?

[madamemoiselle]

No...I kind of wish there was, though.

[didorothy]

What's the purpose of it? The wars you've been used in. Why?

[madamemoiselle]

...The same reason there are wars at all. And I figure the same reason that Joel kept me locked up for so long anyways. My body is the human ideal, isn't it? It's strong, tough, but still beautiful. I'm pretty much immortal. I don't get sick, I don't stay hurt, none of the things that humans have to deal with. People that know what I am have called me anything from a goddess to the perfect weapon.

There's no exception to it. People all want power, whether its on a small scale or a large one. Ne, and Saya and I are power, so humans want to use us for their own means. Humans that know what I am, they don't see me as a person. I'm just a weapon, an object, or a monster to them, so they don't feel bad for using me. Or, that's what I guessed. I can't read people's minds, so I don't really know, but that's really all I can think of.

[didorothy]

Whose power? Yours? Your Chevalier? And what do you use that power for?

[madamemoiselle]

Mine. My Chevalier were all human once, so it's not the same for them. But me...? I use the power to live. Most of it is extra, useless stuff. Super strength, speed, and regeneration is nice, but ne, things like shapeshifting, tel...tel...telepathy, and a song that can turn people into Chiroptera? That's really useless about 90% of the time...

[didorothy]

The power from the wars, though? What's that for?

Sorry for asking all these questions - well, not really - but I want to understand. Because it... it's hard to.

[madamemoiselle]

...Oh, that. Not for me. Not directly, anyways. That's for my Chevalier. Amshel gets the influence he wants, Solomon starts his company, Nathan becomes a famous opera producer, James becomes a general in the American military...Karl is the only one that isn't like that. They're all powerful and influential people.

No, I don't mind it. It's nice to have someone to talk about these things at all, I guess. But I don't expect people to understand anyways. I stopeed that a long time ago, after all! It's impossible for a human to understand completely anyways, so I don't expect a lot there.

Not... entirely surprising, there.

You could have me out of parliment with that sort of confidence vote.

Yeah, Karl is just another one of Amshel's tests. Karl is just for the Chevalier, though....but Karl and I are close. We're friends, I guess.

Well, it's true. After so long, you would get discouraged too. No one has ever even listened to my story this far before!

[didorothy]

'Friends,' meaning, you don't try to kill each other, or... you tell each other deep important secrets, or...?

Well, I haven't been worn out by the story yet.

[madamemoiselle]

Hm...I guess we kind of understand each other, maybe? Karl isn't alright in the head anymore, though, so it's not the same as it was when we first met. He used to be a quiet and kind of withdrawn person. Amshel gave him to me right after I woke up in Vietnam, so he became my Chevalier against his will, really. Ah, but after a year or so, he said he didn't mind it.

Karl now, though...I kind of wonder what Amshel did the last thirty years. He's not the same anymore at all. He's violent and really...obsessed with hunting down Saya. He used to be so gentle and quiet that it's weird. Really, we used to just spend days at a time in that house in Vietnam away from all the fighting and he would read me the books in the library. Oh, but he was afraid of moths! So sometimes I would go out late at night to catch them and put them in his room while he was asleep~ {Laughs with a fond smile}

Ah, but that's good. I'll answer any question Sam has. I mean, since it's two different worlds, I don't have to keep secrets or anything.

[didorothy]

It sounds like it was nice. Have you asked Amshel about what happened?

[madamemoiselle]

Well, I did, but I didn't get all of the story, I'm sure. Karl was used for research for Solomon's company. It's a medicine company, and most of the things it makes are really helpful and successful, but...Well, the Cinq Fleches has a special development something for creating some making drugs out of my blood. Karl was probably to see if they could just make them from Chevalier instead of my blood~

All the stuff they gave him; that's what probably messed him up.

[didorothy]

It's not surprising any of you have problems. Experiments, brilliant.

{She runs her hands through her hair idly, looking to the side again} But it's alright though, right?....Even with that and the other things...Sam doesn't hate me....right?

I don't hate you. But ...But I can't condone murder, Diva. I can't.
