this is a tiny human on a mission.

kenzi has gotten used to coming to the plane since her first time, and she's been dropping in and out intermittently for a little while. but this time? she has a reason for coming.

anyone that happens to be watching will see her drop to and from the plane several times in succession until she's come in with everything she needs for this little stunt, and once she does, she drops one more time in order to get properly dressed. when she comes back for the final time, she's dressed from head to toe in gypsy garb with a positively sinister little grin on her face as she settles at the table she's set up.

she sits with her hands folded on the table, messing with the little sign that she's set off to the side that says nothing more than Dare to find out your fortune? - because for once in her life she's thinking that less will be more. she has her crystal ball, her deck of tarot cards, and she is ready for anyone that passes by.

it won't be until they actually stop to see what she has going on that they'll find she's charging for her services. let's see how well this goes ..]

[yep. you get the accent and all.]

You know, the last person I talked to who could tell the future was actually right.

[He says with enough levity to indicate he's not taking this super seriously, and sits across from her.]

[it's probably a good thing that his currency is goooooooooooooooold].

[Wash wasn't around for all of her trips, but he did see enough of the process to want to wait around and see what this is all about. And once she is done? Oh, you bet he has to check this out now.]

"Dare to find out your fortune?", huh? [If he sounds skeptical, it's because he is. He very much is when it comes to this kind of bunk, but he wants to see where it leads.] So what's the catch?

[she's been watching him watching her, and once she's finally set up, sitting behind her table with that mischievous grin on her face, she simply motions for him to sit.] Vhat catch? Zhere is no catch, as you so choose to see it. Vhy don't you sit, and see for yourself?

[she is downright offended by that assumption, sir. offended.]

Yeah sure. [One of the many advantages he has to hanging around in his armor all the time is that no one has to see the faces he makes--like the very skeptical one completely with eye rolls that he's giving her.

But still... He is pretty curious.]

All right. [He pulls the chair back and lowers himself in it slowly, hoping it supports his weight.] Prove me wrong.

[Marta doesn't catch the dropping-and-returning-for-supplies bit, but she does see that little stand, sees the little gypsy woman there, and sees the crystal ball and the sign and...

Sure, she's wary (because the Plane has taught her all too well over the years), but part of her is also very excited because this looks really interesting! So she darts over.]

Hey! What's all this?

[Would you really scam someone this cute, young and pink, Kenzi?]

[and here is kenzi simply sitting at her table with her arms folded across the top of it, a tiny little smile curving her mouth at the very edges.] An opportunity to see vhat your future holds for you, of course.

[do you really want her to answer that question? come on..

[She's still a little wary, but... wait for it... ... ... ...]

Okay! [She practically lights up like a light as she plops down in front of her, sitting and waiting patiently for this to begin. Because yay!]

So you're a fortune teller? That's so neat!

[Fortunately for Kenzi, Spinelli misses the setup entirely - quite possibly because he's just popped onto the Plane, complete with the chair he's sitting on - and tightly gripping the arms of. He's also in mid-rant, his gaze focused on someone who's no longer there.]

Do you not comprehend who the Jackal is? You treat the Jackal with dismissive contempt, but you are gravely mistaken! I...oh.

[He breaks off suddenly, looking around as he realizes he's no longer trapped in a small room at the mercy of a coldly calculating art thief, but on the Plane, and giving a small blond dressed in a gypsy outfit a bit of a show - and he looks profoundly sheepish for a moment before managing to get out an apology.]

Deepest apologies, small blond one. The Jackal was unaware that he had shifted locations so abruptly. It seems he still has much to learn about traveling back and forth from this place.

[His eyes fix on the sign, and he peers for a moment before leaning back in the chair.]

A soothsayer? Well, the Jackal was unaware this place held such, but perhaps he is in need of finding what fate has in store for him. Would it be amiss of the Jackal to inquire what would be necessary to proceed with the telling of his fortune?

[well now this is interesting. this .. this is going to get her attention more than anything else has yet.

because really, who refers to themselves in the third person? isn't that like .. a psychotic thing, or something? don't people only do that when they're not right in the head?

but!

~~excuse you who are you calling small - oh wait. she is.~~

she raises her eyebrows when he finally acknowledges her, waving her hands dismissively and motioning for him to take a seat at her table. or .. he's more than welcome to keep the chair he's sitting in, if he so chooses. either way .. get your butt over here, weirdo.] Is no problem .. If you are unaccustomed to zhis place, it is understandable. Now -

[she pauses while he goes along with that monologue of his, thinking to herself o m g this guy is whacked but, an adept master of disguise that she is, she keeps up the persona as though it's the easiest thing in the world.] Da, da .. come, sit. It vhill be very beneficial for zhe Jackal.

[now hurry up already!]

[As for Spinelli, he thinks of there being nothing amiss, her ability to keep up the persona convincing enough for now.

He gets up from the chair and starts towards the table, only to reconsider halfway there. He turns his head back, going back and forth between that and the table for a few seconds before opting to go back and get his chair and bring it over. He sits.]
