{Diva steps onto the Astral Plane with a blank expression, walking around thoughtfully as if trying to decide on something. But with a satisfied nod, she stands still and brings her hands to her chest, taking a deep breath. She begins to sing, a lovely soprano, and completely a capella.}

{She laughs slightly} I guess so! Ne, it was just a concert, but a full opera is a lot more impressive. The arias from some of them are really spectacular.

Ah~ Well, one of us would have died today. It was supposed to be our last fight.

I haven't been to a full opera in a long time. Must be nice to work with people like that.

[blinks] You don't sound too worried.

Oh~ Most of the time. Honestly, some of the other singers are more of a diva than I am! It's really frustrating to have to work with people like that! Ah, but the last opera I performed in was Oresteia for the Russian nobles. I played the lead soprano because the other women didn't have the right 'tone' apparently. Ah, but that was before I was Anastasia.

{Smiles softly, closing her eyes} I'm not afraid to die. I've "died" so many times that it doesn't mean anything. If I lose and die forever, then it's not important.

You were Anastasia, really? Must have been fun for a bit. Exciting, at least.

[looks at her for a moment, then nods] Sorry it comes to that anyway. It should never come to that, no matter how long you've lived and how many times you've died. It was supposed to be your last concert, then?

Oh, absolutely! I loved Alexei! He was adorable. ♥ We used to play all the time, but ah, his mother would get so angry if I was a little too rough with him. I couldn't count how many times she hit me for that. But it never would have mattered anyways. Alexei was going to be my Chevalier; we decided that from the beginning. It's a shame the boy didn't last long.

Amshel said that more than likely, it would be. The concert would be broadcast to ever corner of the globe, and just like that, there would be Chiropterans all over. Saya would never be able t kill them all, so according to Amshel, we won. Amshel wanted me to have had children by now, but that didn't work. So, really, I guess the pure-blooded Chiropterans will die out with sister and I.

Must have been nice to have a little brother. Your Chevaliers must have gotten you out, then.

Does your singing effect people in a certain way, then? And I suppose...if you live, you could always have children. [sighs and talking more to himself] Maybe sometimes it's best that things end.

Oh, it was only Grigori and Amshel at the time. But Grigori fell in love, and Amshel killed him. Well, left him to die. I heard that Saya killed him the next year after he had run away into hiding. We left right before the Russian Revolution started and headed back to Europe. So it's good, mostly, but it was fun for that time.

Only if I want it to! Otherwise it's harmless. Like if a human drinks my blood, they can be my Chevalier. It's always the greedy people that want to do that since they're basically immortal and are way stronger than a human. They're just bound to me. But when I sing like I would at that concert, then humans that hear it turn into monsters. Chevalier can look the same as a human, but they can't. They're ugly and what artists usually draw as demons.

{Sighs} Oh, but it's not that simple~ There only one person in the entire world that could give me my children, and it would never happen. It would have to be Saya's Chevalier, but she only has one. And Haji hates me, just like sister. Ne, but I don't hate him. But it wouldn't happen. Not consensually anyways~

Hm, when else have you had fun?

[blinks] Ahh, I see. One last hit to Saya. Either way, even if you die, you win. [grins slightly] Now that reminds me of the Master.

Oh, really? Interesting system. Could only Saya reproduce with one of your Chevaliers, then? [totally ignoring that last remark]

{She thinks about it for a moment before she smiles} Well, last week! I snuck out of the hotel with Solomon's credit card~ I got to take a tour of New York on my own. That was a really fun day! I like my Chevalier, but it's nice to be able to just do what I want by myself every once in a while.

Oh, is that a good thing or a bad thing?

Apparently! But Saya doesn't like any of them either because they're my Chevalier. Too bad. Solomon loves Saya. {And the contempt for that fact is quite clear in her stress on "love"}
It would be easy for her.

[smiles] That sounds lovely. What did you do? Walk around the park? Eat chips? Ever feed birds bread? Not as fun as it sounds but relaxing anyway.

[and now there's a tough question. The Doctor pauses and sucks in a breath] I suppose...it means we probably disagree on a lot of things. But I think I understand some things about you, too. So! I guess it's up for interpretation? I wouldn't say it's really 'bad', though.

Well that's just overly complicated and unfortunate, then.

Oh, I went shopping to Central Park, yes, and even went ice skating! I met a very nice taxi driver, so he gave me a tour of the city and even went around with me. He and his family had arrived in the past few years from Russia, so it was nice to talk to him that day. He was like my chauffeur for the day!

I understand then. I think that Doctor is a really good person! Kind of like the heroes in stories. Or at least I see a lot of things in common with you and them. But I'll try not to bring up things you might disagree with then! I want to be friends with Doctor.

{But she purposely doesn't say anything on that last part}

[laughs] That does sound nice, yeah. You must be pretty fond of Russia, though. Sounds like your best times were there. I always did like Russia. New York is great, too. And New New York but that's far in the future.

[rubs his neck] I wouldn't call me a hero. But thanks. It's all right if you do, though. I wouldn't want you to censor yourself. Friends can disagree, eh? And, well... [shrugs] I'm sure I've disagreed with friends plenty of times. Anyway! It's up to you, Diva. [smiles]

I really liked Russia! Other than how cold it was anyways. But I've loved everywhere I go, just because I don't get to spend much time there at all. Just three years, then it's back to sleep. But Russia was nice because that was before I had to get involved in the politics too. It's such a bore...Ne, listening to old men argue or then getting bargained off like some piece of fine jewelry...I never did like Amshel for that. It was never permanent, of course, but, oh, I hated it every single time!

{She looks really surprised by that for a moment before she smiles brightly and cheerfully} Ne, that's so nice, though! Ah, it's funny how many nice people there are here compared to who I've met! Maybe it's just the people that I have to associate with, but I'm really glad to have a friend! Especially really good ones like Doctor.

I like the cold, actually. Not a fan of heat, especially after being possessed by that sun. Anyway! I'm not much for politics. I've been elected President twice now and I sort of...swanned off both times. [coughs and grins] So I can't rightly blame you.

[laughs and scratches at his neck a bit bashfully] Maybe it comes from traveling and meeting all sorts of people. But everyone needs someone to hold their hand sometimes. Friends do that. So, erm, right then! Glad to be of help.

Wow, President twice? Of what? And possessed by a sun? Ah, your life sounds so interesting! Or dangerous. Either way, it sounds exciting!

I just never have had many...well, no, any friends before! So it's exciting. I love my Chevalier, but...They're what it sounds like. They're my knights. So it's not the same to talk to them. So, really, thank you. It really, really means a lot to me.

Ahh, of Gallifrey. It is...was my home planet. The first time it was to give me enough time to fight one of the Master's plots. The second time it was a bit of a de facto voting in sort of thing after Borusa was, erm, disposed of. Borusa was president but he sought immortality and...he got it. Turned to stone. Now the sun was interesting. Not long ago, either. A living sun was being mined for fuel and ended up possessing crew members of the ship. It got into me, too. Definitely not fun. [grins] Oh but I love my life. Dangerous and exciting.

[smiles kindly] Then you're welcome. I think you'll make loads of friends here, though.

Wow~ That's really amazing! What's it like to be possessed by a sun anyways? Hot? Ne, your life sounds really really interesting! What other kinds of things has Doctor done?

Oh, yes, very hot. Especially an angry sun. I thought I was going to die, actually. But! Here I am, perfectly all right. And oooh, well, loads of things. Fought the Loch Ness Monster, turned human, stopped invasions on Christmas twice, ended up trapped in parallel universes a few times, was eaten by a reaper, outsmarted the founder of our race, met some mummies, battled a very rude wishing well...all sorts of things.

Wow~ Your life sounds amazingly exciting! It sounds like something from an extravagant novel. But I'm sure it must be fun! Well, in between almost dying. Dying isn't fun.

Ne, but why all of those things? I mean, why is it that things like that happen? Hee, or is Doctor just unlucky? ♥

Actually, funny story but when I was turned human, I couldn't remember any of this. But I had dreams about it and wrote them into a book. But no, dying never is very fun, is it?

[laughs] Trouble finds me. Or I'm just very good at finding trouble.

Really? So does that make it an autobiography or just a novel, I wonder~
If you're unlucky with exciting things like mean wishing wells or saving Christmas, then I'm just unlucky with dying. This time is better, though. Other times I was awake, I would die several times a week. It's such a pain.

Well, at least you're lucky too. I mean, you're still here, so I can only assume that you're really good at getting out of trouble.

Can't say I've ever died that many times. I've died...nine times, I suppose you could say. They were generally very bad though.

And yeah, I think I am. Still alive today, so I must be doing something right.

{Laughs} That's a really great title!

Oh, then does that mean that Doctor just heals from those kinds of things too? If that were true, though, I guess you're just more careful. It never mattered for me, so I guess I don't really mind? It still hurts, though, but it's fine~

Ah, yeah. Most injuries heal fast enough on me. If they don't, I can usually heal eventually anyway. And I have to be careful. I've got a limited number of regenerations.
