[When Loki arrives on the Plane, momentary surprise turning to curiosity as he looks around and does not see the woman, Meredith Sault, he met here previously] Of course. She would not be here again. [A small, knowing smile crosses his features.] I wouldn't be.

[He sets off to explore this new world after he is certain he won't simply be thrust back outside that little cottage once more. Stars surrounding him are not an unfamiliar sight to Loki. They are, however, not the ones he is used to in the constellations he studied and has used to guide him when no map could. They intrigue him and will warrant further inspection--but they are not his primary concern. After finding the Information kiosk and receiving aid from a helpful invisible woman--who he tried to find initially until he figured out the trick--he is left with questions not about how to go home. He has already tried what was suggested to him and found it quite clever. No, he wonders other things...] How is this world even here? Why has Father never mentioned it?

[As things seem relatively peaceful, he does not put on his armor; there doesn't appear to be any need for it, though he does stay on his guard. Instead, he cloaks himself for a time, wandering around this "Astral Plane" invisibly to see what it has to offer.

It...is not quite what he is expecting, but then again with the "Astral" denotation, he might have expected objects dealing more with the celestial bodies than what he has found. Surely, there are answers for this as well, and as he has assessed the dangers and this place well enough already, he removes his enchantments and heads towards a building which purpose he was initially unsure of until he took note of all the bottles of alcohol and suddenly it all became clear. The mortals there would be a good place to start.]

[As he speaks, he pushes the bar doors aside and gracefully strides in.] Pardon the intrusion. I must admit this is my first time getting a proper look around this plane of Astral. Yet, I find myself with more questions than the box of information can provide me. I would reward you with food and drink... [He glances at all the bottles behind the bar.] But I believe this building and one other is already handling that for you.

[He would know who would trick the trickster.]

Many were new to me as well, and the ones I recognized were nowhere near their proper places. As to why they're like that, I do not know. I always assumed that the ones I could not place were constellations that could not be seen from Earth.

It is a wise assumption; it could even be true, though I cannot verify it myself despite seeing many a constellation in my travels. And yet... [He pauses, reflecting on Mu's words.] "Earth", you said? I have heard that name before. [He rests his hands on the bar, leaning slightly forward on it.] There were a few constellations I saw which drudged up in my mind a fleeting memory of seeing them long ago, but upon hearing that name, it came back to me. It is as you said: they were nowhere near where they ought to be.

Very intriguing.

[He takes a quick second to gather his thoughts before putting a pleasant expression on his face.] What shall I call you, friend?

Then I assume you are not native to it?

You may call me whatever you wish, but my name is Mu. I cannot promise I will respond to much else.

[He smiles, amused] No, I very much am not, though I have been there a number of times. For visits. ["Visits" is the most innocent term for his trips there with his brother and friends--as well as his own solo ones throughout the years.]

Nor would I expect you to, friend Mu. I am Loki of Asgard. [He slightly bows with a flourish before standing up ramrod straight again. He says nothing of the many names and titles he is known by. They are not necessary here.]

[Though Mu's reaction is a schooled look of mild surprise, followed by a small bow in return, approximately half of all the alarm bells in his head started ringing at once. Sanctuary had dealings in the past with the gods of Asgard - few of them entirely peaceful.]

An honour, my lord.

[Well, if things go to shit from here, Mu can say he at least made an effort.]

[A smile crosses his face] You flatter me. [Considers Mu for a second.] Yet I sense some apprehension... Is there a reason?

It's not every day one meets a god they do not serve. I've not had the honour of dealing with the lords of Asgard in the past.

Nor should you have. We Asgardians have not been to your realm for centuries. [At least those who do not travel to Midgard in secret, that is. He also rather likes being thought of as a god.]

Tell me... Of whose honour do you normally have the pleasure?

Perhaps not, but in my world, you do have representatives among the people who speak for the lord Odin.

I serve the Goddess Athena. I am Mu, Saint of Aries, and guardian of the Temple of the White Ram.

[Mu makes another light bow as he introduces himself properly. He looks rather unassuming without his cloth on, but perhaps it's better if such an unknown quantity doesn't know quite everything just yet.]

[An eyebrow involuntarily goes up when Mu mentions the representatives in his world. He wonders if the All-Father knows of this or if it is equally a mystery to him as well.]

Ahh, I see. [He nods slowly. The name rings a couple bells from his travels to Midgard. One of the many, many gods the humans had created myth and legends.] A wise choice. A ram is a strong and sure--a good fit for such a god.

Do those who speak for Odin in your world serve a similar purpose as you do for Athena?

I do what I can for Her.

Mm, to some extent yes. Their order is far less militant then ours, however. Odin is not present to them as Athena is to us, and thus does not require the same level of protection. There are some God Warriors, however, who serve and defend their high priestess. I'm afraid I know little else about them - I have not dealt with them first hand.

A "high priestess"? [He says that as though the concept is foreign to him. It's abnormal, sure, but more so because the thought of anyone standing in the place of the All-Father is nearly laughable.] And Athena walks amongst you? [He nods, thinking it all curious. He wonders what it may be like to meet this person.] Very interesting.

Hilda, I believe her name is.

Yes. Athena is born as a human girl every two hundred and fifty years or so, to lead us against the lord of Hell, Hades.

The name means not a thing to me, though I do find this information interesting all the same. It seems the booth of information has been truthful in a number of ways.

[An eyebrow shoots up on his face.] A mere mortal against a lord of Hel? [He looks as though he doesn't quite believe that. Then again, Hel in his reality is different.]

It is out of date, but still accurate.

A mortal body, yes, but a divine spirit, much the same as the form Hades takes.

Out of date...? How, exactly, do you mean?

[Taking a mortal form seems foolhardy to Loki, but perhaps these gods of Mu's are not of their right minds. He keeps all this to himself, of course. The mortals are, after all, the ones who greatly exaggerated the exploits of Thor and their friends, so the truth behind the legends may be something different entirely in their case as well.]

Then it is good your god has such warriors at hand to shield herself.

They were written some years ago, to the best of my knowledge. As I said, they're still accurate enough.

I see. [He nods. He figures it's time for him to continue exploring.] My many thanks to you. [He offers a hand to Mu.]

[Mu takes it about as gently as is plausible, and bows his head slightly.]
