((OOC: This post could be a bit spoilery about the ending of first movie, so be warned! ))

[Hiccup's absence on the plane could be easily explained: he had to go and fight the first one of his big battles. No really, it really was a battle. With the hugest dragon there is: the Green Death. He's through a lot, starting with family issues, being responsible for his teammates, the dragons, and then kinda being afraid for his life. Though day.

He's on the Plane now, sitting on his bed, with a book in his lap, opened by the title of 'Night Fury' and he's busy filling the blank pages. Toothless is laying on the bed occupying the most of it, sleeping soundly.

It's a completely peaceful setting, if we won't count Hiccup's burnt hair ends, the stains on his face or his missing leg.

Yes, he lost his left leg, from under the knee. It's being replaced with a prosthetic leg, a work of Gobber's. Despite the fresh injury, Hiccup has never looked more lively and happy.]

I have to discuss with Fishlegs about your speed, buddy.

Hiccup! [OH MY GOD LEGLESSNESS!! Morgana is extremely worried.] Are you all right? You look like you were in a terrible fight!

[Alright, Hiccup might not be completely fine as he's jumping to much at Morgana's approach. His voice trembles a little at the end of his words too.] Oh, uh, Morgana! Umm... this... well... yes. I just, uh, had to save my father and the village from doing something very stupid... annnd it ended up such a mess.

Did it end up a mess, or did you? Your leg! [Morgana is over at Hiccup's side.] Should I bring you back some salves? Or--Menzies! Or Rory. There are people from well ahead in time compared to us, we could seek them out for medical aid.

Uuuh... B-both, I guess. [Somehow Morgana's worry makes Hiccup a bit nervous too.] Oh dear Thor, uh, yes! Right...! Maybe we can ask them if they could grow a-uh leg back?

Gobber said it won't hurt for a few days, then the pain starts bad I'd want to claw my eyes out but he said he has a solution for that...

Oh... [Blinks.] That... well, that could be useful... At least their methods doesn't involve a hammer, right? [Pause.] I'm sorry Morgana, I just, uh, I'm not used to being worried for like this, you see...

No, don't be sorry. I just... panicked, seeing your leg. Not to mention the burns and stains. I can't get you much myself, unless you'd like a salve. I'm sure whoever would help you here wouldn't bring a hammer to it. Is there anything I can do for you?

Oh, uh... losing a limb is nothing special in a viking's life. I-it's nothing... [Trying to shake it off, but yes her worry gets to him. He's going pale slowly.] No hammer? That's... good, nice, a-alright. Then, I might um, try one of their methods?

A-actually, I'm fine, I'm really fine, Morgana... I'm still alive, and somehow still the son of my father, and Toothless' with me again. I really hope it's not just a dream.

[Her smile is gentle.] I'm sure it isn't. Will you tell me more about what happened?

Well it's a long looong story... [Hiccup mutters, glancing at Toothless for a second.] We found the nest of the dragons, a-and their Queen, who kinda the reason they had to steal from us. I mean, she ate them if they didn't bring back food, you see... annnnd, well when I tried to tell this to my dad, he, uh, disowned me. He still wanted to find the nest so he took Toothless away, and off they went. Funny, huh... [Laughs a little, but it's not happy at all. He's still a bit sad thinking about it.]

But I couldn't let them die there, against the dragons' Queen. I had to do something... Sooo I did this stupid idea I had about getting the others and the imprisoned dragons and fly there, annnd... fight with Queen. Yyyyeah.

[She listens to his story, nodding, frowning.] You are both very brave.

[Hiccup laughs awkwardly, because he still can't believe that. He got called out on his weirdness and clumsiness and now people often use the word 'brave' to him, amongst others. So weird.]

I just... I don't know. I wasn't exactly marching there all glorious like my father would have done, it was quite messy and not glorious at all... It was lucky no one else got really hurt.

You stood up for your beliefs and your loved ones, didn't you? That's what bravery is.

[Oliver gapes at him, rushing over] Hiccup! Hiccup, are you okay!?

A-actually I'm fine, Oliver... [Rubs the back of his head, looking up at him.] I'm still alive, and that's something, r-right?

[oliverplus]

But...your leg! And...you... [he gapes rather helplessly] What happened!?

[ex_dragonnerd309]

[Bites in his lips, looking down at his book.]

Well... uuuuh, I went after dad and the others, to the nest. I was planning my attack carefully, but yeah right, the gods always have other plans with me I suppose. [Awkward laugh.] We took down the huge dragon, Oliver, now they don't have to suffer from her anymore. I-I'm not sure what exactly happened, I don't remember anything after the huge fire...

[oliverplus]

[he is still gaping] You--you did!? Is everybody okay? [he looks over Toothless, glad to see that he at least seems to be in one piece]

Y-yeah as far as I know... They are all fine... despite the fact they seem to think more positively about me, so I don't know...

[Toothless woke up now, but he'd rather stay in the comfy bed for now. He raises his head to glance at Oliver as a greeting, looking fine.]

[oliverplus]

Really? Hey, that's good! [he brightens] Um...exactly what happened, anyway? You said you took down a dragon?

Hey, Toothless. [Oliver gives him a nervous smile--not because he's afraid of Toothless, but because he's still worried about them both]

Uuuuh, yyyeah, the Queen of the nest... or something like that. Uuuuh, well she was um, using the dragons to bring her food that's why they were raiding us all this time. I knew I'll have to take care of her somehow, buuuut I didn't really expected it to be this messy.

She was bigger than I thought, could fly and didn't have a blind spot... I-I-I'm not even sure how we survived...! Maybe we didn't!

[Toothless snorts a little, he'd rather have some food than worry, but hey Hiccup's panicking, better slap him out of it. So there goes a dragon tail at the boy's head.]

Ow!

[oliverplus]

Oh. I...guess that makes sense. [wow, that's a whole lot that's happened since the last time he saw Hiccup! he blinks, still trying to take this all in] And...wow. That's great, Hiccup! I mean...wow.

[he isn't really sure what to say other than to continue stuttering out how impressed he is. but when Toothless whacks Hiccup, Oliver can't help a smile] I think Toothless is trying to tell you you're alive, so I wouldn't worry too much.

And... [hopefully] Everything's okay now...?

[Hiccup rubs the back of his head where it collided with Toothless' tail, looking at the dragon.]

Yeah... My dad said he was the one saving me too. [Smiles a little, then looks down at his feet, thinking about Oliver's question.] I-I think so... but with my luck more dragons could come, bigger or more evil, o-or the gods could decided that we need some volcano on out island or something...!

[This worrying was Hiccup's life before, so it's hard to change it all so suddenly--]

[oliverplus]

He got you out of there? [Oliver smiles at Toothless] Well, that's no surprise! Good work, Toothless.

[but at Hiccup's worrying, he gives him a look] Hey, calm down! None of that stuff's happened yet, right? And even if it did, you could handle it. [he makes that comment with complete confidence, too. he gives Hiccup's leg another worried look, though] But...is there anything I can help with?

[Toothless' expression is near to something that tells "It wasn't a big deal, duh", but of course, loving the compliment.]


Oh, uh, yes, not yet... I-I know that not all dragons are evil, and uuuh, well I already have a plan about what if a volcano erupts, you see, you have to do this rail at the back of Gobber's hut and I already have an idea where to guide all that lava, and-- [But yes, stay focused Hiccup.]

Uuuuh... I-I don't know. How do you uuuuh kill the pain? Gobber said it involves a hammer, a-and I'm not, uh, sure what he was talking about...
