( a young woman pops up on the Plane, shortly followed by a rather well known Scot. Victoria is looking rather pale and flushed and Jamie appears to be following her. )
( hands touching her cheeks, Victoria, flustered, begins to walk along the Plane — unsure of where she’s really headed at present. one thing is for certain, despite her flushed state she appears to be rather cross. ) How could you let that happen, Jamie McCrimmon!?!
[Jamie trails after, not entirely happy looking himself.] Look, how was I supposed to know that would happen? That woman’d not said anything other than we needed to say the blessing if we wanted to eat! Who told ye to take us over there, anyway?
( spinning on her heel, having halted in her bitter walk, she folds her arms over her chest and puffs her cheeks for a brief moment before bothering to answer him. ) You should have known that something was going to happen because something always happens when we travel with the Doctor! ( she stamped her foot childishly, although she did have a point, something always did happen with that silly old man. )
I don’t know, it was just one of the gentleman at the party. I didn’t ask him for his name, he just seemed to want to help me with — ( her cheeks redden significantly. she almost revealed that she’d been jealous of his attention onto the other ladies there. ) — w, well clearly he had gotten the wrong idea!
Hey! The Doctor wasn’t even there at the time!
[Which could have very well been part of the problem, at least in this case. He likely would have stopped them before it was too late. But he doesn’t point that out, instead focusing on the other person mentioned - and by the way his lips press together, he noticed a few things as well.]
What, that one that looked like he’d lost half his outfit somewhere? Aye, I bet he wanted to help ye with something. Are ye sure he’d not wanted to spirit ye off to the tables himself?
No, but he’d brought us there in the first place, you great idiot! ( had the Doctor been with them at the party, she wouldn’t have to deal with this ridiculous situation and likely wouldn’t be shouting insults at the boy she cared so deeply for. )
Oh — ( with that she rolls her eyes, folding her arms tighter still with a scoff ) Yes, because you weren’t losing yourself into the near bare chests of the girls there, Jamie McCrimmon! ( the excessive use of his full name only shows just how irate she really is, not to mention rather clearly jealous of where his gaze had apparently been. ) Nonsense! He told me to bring you to the table, not asked if I should like to join him. Stop being such an ignoramus!
An ignor... [Oh, she would trot out a word like that. Rather predictably, his mouth pulls off to one side.] Look, how was I supposed to not notice something like what those lassies were wearing? I seem to recall we’ve had that type of conversation before. And, besides, it’s not as though I was married to ye at the time, now was I...Mrs. McCrimmon?
If you can look at the lassies, then I can look at the laddies. ( except she would forever deny even glancing at them, and despite having done so, her gaze would then fall to the ground because of how indecent it was for them to have been dressed in such a manner in the first place. )
I— ( whatever her retort was, it’s lost when he uses his family name at her. she goes through an awkward mixture of both losing color and then blushing furiously. ) That— It wasn’t— We’re not married!! ( no proper ceremony, no proper romancing beforehand. no, oh no. she refuses to see it as a true wedding, despite how very real it is. )
( ooc; this is a result of a trip via the TARDIS gone wrong, resulting with these lugheads being marriedobviously. the arguing will continue in the comments, but, feel free to threadjack should you like. )

Forbidden? Now, look here, Victoria Waterfield, ye cannae go about forbidding a man to think just because you're not comfortable with what he's thinking. If I so happened to think that way about a bonny lass, that's my business and not any of yours.
And, besides, I'd not even said I wanted to. You just assumed I did! Now who's the one imagining shameful things?
no subject
Hrk—! ( a shiver crawls along her spine and she straightens herself up rather prudishly as he accuses her of being shameful herself ) N, nonsense! I've not imagined anything! And I wouldn't!
no subject
Ah, but then how did ye manage to even come up with that particular order if ye weren't thinking about it? And here I thought you'd not have been capable of such thoughts. Now where could ye have gotten such ideas?
[The curl of his mouth deepens, edging towards an impish grin as he waits to see what her reaction to that is going to be.]
no subject
( there was something about him accusing her of not being capable of thinking impure things that struck a chord with her for some reason. pointing at him rather accusingly, she took a step toward him, prodding his chest with it ) I am perfectly capable of any sort of thoughts! Those included! ( wait... she grimaced. that was some form of reverse psychology, wasn't it? swatting her hand at him dismissively, though, she huffily added: ) Not that I have!
no subject
Oh, aye, I see. Of course you've never even considered such things. That'd not be a proper thing, after all. Even though ye are married now.
no subject
And wipe that grin off of your face! ( there, that made her feel better somehow )
no subject
Doesn't it? Aye, well, then, why are we having this conversation? Seems to me if ye weren't thinking about it, we wouldn't be talking about it.
no subject
no subject
But you're still talking about it. Now, if you'd not wanted to do that, ye would have left a long time ago, would ye have not?
no subject
this time, she won't be responding! leaving it alone, as he put it )
no subject
Ah, now, I notice you've still not left, Victoria. Good to see you've decided to agree with me after all.
[Which he knows perfectly well that she doesn't, but if she's gone quiet, clearly he's won here. Magnanimously, he offers her his arm.]
Right then. So now that's settled, let's go to the kitchen and get a bite to eat.
no subject
Oh shush, Jamie McCrimmon!
( a bite to eat her foot! she's not about to celebrate his 'win' with him and so this time, for real, she drops from the Plane )
no subject
Aye, well, suppose that means she's not hungry after all.
[And if she thinks he's going to go chasing off after her, she's got another think coming - especially since he's of the opinion he didn't do anything wrong. He ambles off in the general direction of the kitchen. If she gets over being annoyed and decides to come back, she knows where he'll be.]
