[Asch makes a rare appearance. Rather than talk about his problems like everyone wants him to do, he is the bearer of a distraction. There's something shiny in his hands. The printed side looks like this. Clearly it is witchcraft, and that's what he's chosen to investigate today.

He addresses the Plane at large in his usual forceful, mildly offensive way.]

Hey, you. Tell me. [He waves the CD.] What's this thing supposed to be? It looks like a fon disc, but nothing can analyze it.

[He's sure it's from someone else's world, and that makes him uneasy. Maybe someone here will recognize it. It's worth looking into, anyway.]

[Hey, it's Morgana. He straightens a little-- though without realizing it-- and shakes his head.]

No. It's too fragile. [It's made of some kind of polycarbonate. Flexible and lighter than most metals, but prone to warping. He doesn't see material like this much.] I've seen things like this before. It's probably used to store information.

It's encoded in the lines on the disc. You can read it with a special kind of fontech.

[Don't ask him why he was there. He's already considered that it might be a piece of Dawn Age technology, but it's not like anything he's ever seen.]

Did you look about for anything else that seemed similar? Anything out of place, or anything that looked close but not quite right?

[That's actually a good point, and one he was hoping to bring up with whoever these belonged to.]

I found a few more in Daath, but I couldn't access what was on them. It's probably too advanced.

[He looks at her again.]

Did you find something out of place on your world?

Only some strange ruins. From Saga and Mu, I believe. [There is the TARDIS forest thing but she hasn't noticed that.]

[And he continues walking off wherever he was going, armed with food. I will give Asch at least the opportunity to yell and wave his fist as Nathan goes off into an adventure of eating these hot pockets somewhere alone.]

[It's almost like he didn't hear Nathan. But then, almost comically (oh who am I kidding, this is hilarious) he does indeed raise his fist and shout at no one in particular.]

Asch is a minor encounter on the path to food. Clearly not worth the time to really engage with. Another time, Asch. Another time. Boy if he didn't have these hot pockets, he's totally show Asch a lesson.

Asch! [Oliver grins when he sees his friend. but then he notices the object that Asch is waving about--and he stares] Hey, that's--where you'd get that!?

[Good to know his favorite annoyance agent is still present on the Plane. His eyes narrow slightly. That's an interesting reaction, and he thinks he knows where this conversation is about to go.

He really has been careless, hasn't he?]

Oliver. Is this yours? [He doesn't bother answering the question.]

[Oliver is still pretty dumbfounded--and maybe a little disappointed that that's all Asch has to say] Uh, yeah. Well, it's from my world, anyway. Where'd you find it? Nevermind, where've you been? It's been forever!

Busy. [Doing stuff. Of course. He's more interested in what the hell this thing is.]

Then it's just like I thought. Our worlds leaked into each other. Have you noticed anything out of place?

[Oliver cuts off. not only is that CD from his time period, but it's one of his favourite bands. of course this is a merger with him]

No, you're right. Um... [he frowns, thinking. thankfully, he can discount most strange things he's found as not being related to Asch's universe, but there is one that's pretty similar to this...] Well, I think I know who most of them are from, but sometimes, when I listen to music, this weird sort of...choral stuff plays. For no reason. Does that sound familiar?

[He raises an eyebrow. So it's not something important. He was afraid there might be cities missing, or something... He's never had a merger before. Is it a good thing? A bad thing? How might this impact his plans? What if someone gets hurt?

[he brightens at Asch's apparent recognition] Yeah, exactly like that! Like something you'd hear at a Mass, except I don't think they were in Latin. Have you got something like that in your world?

... Yeah. It was Ancient Ispanian. [He closes his eyes for a moment, lets out a breath.] Those hymns are sung during congregations inside the cathedral. [He knows every word, too. He grew up listening to them.

He looks at the CD in his hand, then holds it out for Oliver to take.]

This is yours, right? ... Take it.

[AAAH I'M SOCIALLY INEPT AND I DON'T KNOW HOW TO HANDLE FRIENDSHIP FEELINGS]

Oh! They were really...pretty. [he's not sure how else to describe choral music]

[Oliver blinks at the offer, wondering if he should tell Asch to keep it, but after a second's thought, he takes the CD--with a smile] Cheers. Uh...what did you think of it?

She comes over to investigate.]

There's nothing on it at all?

[She's not the only one, lol. He doesn't hand the disc over, but tilts it so that she can get a better look.]

The reader thinks it's corrupted. [But Asch knows better.]
