002 :: Sheep happen to like water too~

[ Well this is a spot he hasn't explored yet! Kiran's amazed at seeing how massive the Bath House is, and he thinks that it's a good time as any to give it a whirl~

He thinks he's alone so first part of the program is to try the outdoor baths. After the requisite cleansing, he sinks into the hot water with a contented sigh. ]

I should've scouted this place earlier...


[ Afterwards, he will take to exploring the building, going ever upwards and checking the rooms -- will he find other people in there? Will he find something interesting? Musing to himself -- ]

This is pretty neat! You can even hold gatherings in here!

Mm. In some cases, yes.

[ -- a look that he had seen much too often during the course of his growing up. Kiki knows when Mu means to keep something from him, and back then, he knew it wiser to keep quiet. But now -- ]

[ Yeah, no. Kiki's not taking that. He understands the purpose behind hiding things from him when he was little, but things have changed. He turns to better look at Mu -- while his stance is relaxed, his gaze is studying. ]

You can tell me. I want to know.

[ Not a plea, but an invitation. ]

[It surprises him. He's so used to Kiki simply accepting the quiet. And though he opens his mouth to speak, he finds the words don't come. Mu shakes his head.]

In time, maybe. But not now.

[ A very brief look akin to that of rejection crosses Kiki's face before he regains a respectfully neutral stance. ] 'Maybe'

[ Then half-amused -- ] Are they that bad?

Maybe. It's something's find difficult to speak about, that's all.

Offer's always open if you need to get it off your chest.

[ He then lies back and stretches out on the tatami in silent resignation -- though no way he's giving up on this. People back home hide enough things from him. ]

[There's a beat, and Mu speaks again, blatantly changing the subject.]

There's food about somewhere. I believe it's Japanese cuisine.

[ Kiki had taken to focusing on the layout of the ceiling, hands spread out his sides until the thought of food sufficiently distracts him -- ]

Really? I haven't thought of looking for the kitchens in here. Where can we find them?

[ Food sounds like a real good idea right now. ]

Inside on the first floor, I believe. We were trapped in here for awhile, some time ago, and the food simply made its way to our rooms most of the time.

Want to flick down, then? I guess the Japanese bath house experience wouldn't be complete without the food...

Come to think of it, I didn't do that knocking down a serving of milk tea. Or was it coffee with milk?

[ Propping himself up on his elbows. ]

[The second comment gets Kiki something of a smile.] I'm afraid I don't know. I always took the tea plain.

It was something Seiya told me about. I like my tea with honey though.

[ Gets up properly, and holds out his hand. As he does so, the yukata sleeve shifts to reveal the tell-tale marks of Clothsmith who has done a great deal of repairing. ]

[The hand that Mu takes it with is curiously devoid of said tell-tale marks. The few that are there are relatively fresh - only several months old at most.]

I never understood that sweet tooth of yours. Let's.

But sweet things are nice! [ With a chuckle, and not entirely bothering to stand, Kiki teleports them to one of the room on the first floor -- he had at least seen those already.

He rises first so as to pull Mu up. ]

Now for that kitchen~

[Mu hauls himself up easily, and shakes his legs out lightly.]

The end of the hall, if my memory serves.

[ Kiki then takes the lead and peers into the kitchen with a bit of -- ] Hello~

[ to see if anyone was present?? Either way, there should be the distinct smell of a kitchen preparing Japanese food fare~ ]

[Mu pads in afterwards, opening and peering into cabinets, and the refrigerator.] Sometimes there are things already prepared...

[As if to prove him right, he reaches into the fridge and pulls out a plate of Onigiri.] Hmmm, I wonder what surprises these ones have inside. Shall I cut them to find out?

[ Well! At least neither of them have to wait for too long for some treats to be prepared. ]

Sure! I'll look for some tea!

[Mu takes the plate over to the counter and upon locating an appropriate knife, cuts one open and sniffs the contents at the centre.] Hm. Something pickled, it seems like.

[Satisfied, he starts to cut the others, but Kiki may hear a sudden little hiss, of pain or surprise, it's hard to tell, but if he looks fast enough, something about the little cut that Master is staring at...well, it just isn't right. The blood welling up on the finger looks just a smidge too dark to be normal.]

[ Injuries big and small are a common occurrence in the Saintly and Clothsmith-y profession, so any sign of discomfort or pain is quickly attended to, to the point that Kiki sees it necessary to flick over from his end of the kitchen to that of Mu's -- ]

Aa, it's not so bad is it-- ?!

[ He had been just about to reach for Master's hand until he sees what is distinctly un-blood-like. His mind ticks off the possibilities over what could explain what he is seeing: maybe Master got nori on his finger over the cut somehow, since it IS onigiri after all! But no, nori doesn't flow nor sparkle. Maybe an infection? But infection doesn't work that way! Unless the Plane has sparkly bacteria that makes blood black upon contact with the atmosphere but it's also coming from INSIDE of Master's body and-- ]

What... happened to-- your hand?

[ Probably not the best question, but it's the best one that a borked brain manages at the moment, forgive him. ]

[Mu balls his hand into a fist quickly, feeling Kiki's presence so close behind him, and prays, perhaps futilely, that he hadn't seen.]

I surprised myself, is all. It's nothing to worry about.

[His tone of voice might suggest otherwise.]

Nothing to-- [ His words get lost in a sound of disbelief and (probably) morbid amusement. ]
