[Oliver is walking by the stream in the forest when he stops and closes his eyes. after a second, he opens them--and looks startled. frowning, he closes his eyes again, taking a deliberate step forward. when he opens them again, he makes a face and turns to look up at the sky] Really!? You had to take the mickey out of me now?

[he sighs, looking very put out, and kicks a rock into the stream] What does this even prove, anyway? I've lived here before! [he's pouting mightily now as he stares at the stars. he kicks another rock. clearly this is a productive way of dealing with annoyance]

[then he turns and starts stalking back along the stream. but after a moment, an idea occurs to him, and he stops short, frowning] Wait. What if it's not an experiment for me? [worried now, he cups his hands around his mouth and calls:] Hey! Is anybody around? Is the Plane doing anything weird to anybody else?

[because he hopes they aren't all trapped on the Plane again. that's never a good sign]

[ooc: Oliver doesn't realize it, but the reason he can't leave the Plane is because of an experiment. His memories of the last several years of his life have been rewritten, and he believes he's happily living in Birmingham and has never traveled with the Doctor at all.]

Mu! [Oliver is visibly relieved to see his friend. he's always a comforting sight in a crisis] Yeah, I can't seem to leave the Plane. Can you?

[Oh dear is clearly written on Mu's face, but he pops away and comes back easily enough.]

It seems so. How long has it been since you noticed?

[oliverplus]

Well, that's a relief. [but it figures--even he's starting to wonder why the Plane always does these things to him. he sighs]

I only just tried to go home. But I was there a few hours ago, so it can't've been too long since it started.

[sosweet]

[BFF to the rescue!] [Saga appears before Oliver with Gemini and white cloak behind him, crossed arms and all.]

Oliver. What is it?

[oliverplus]

Oh, Saga! [another face Oliver is glad to see] Can you leave the Plane? Because, uh...it looks like I can't.

[sosweet]

Of course I can. [An amused chuckle. He drops and comes back in less than seconds.] Are you sure you tried at least?

[oliverplus]

Yeah, I tried! A couple of times. [Oliver pouts. and he closes his eyes, trying once more for good measure--but he doesn't go anywhere]

[he opens his eyes again and cringes] Damn. Well, at least it's just me, then. [he sighs. it's a relief, but he looks decidedly annoyed that the Plane is picking on him again]

[Oh, Jamie does not like the sound of that.] Och, no. What's going on this time?

[oliverplus]

Jamie! Hey, have you tried to go home lately?

[Oliver is just glad that seems to be the only problem--so far]

[bonnypiperlad]

Aye, I've just come from there. Why?

[oliverplus]

Really? [he makes a face] The Plane isn't letting me leave.

[it's probably best Oliver isn't there to see the expression that crosses the Doctor's face when he hears those words. it's brief, very brief. but the flash of anger in his eyes stays while he heads into the forest in search of Oliver. he's not upset at Oliver, no, not by any means. but he's definitely angry at the Plane. thankfully, he's able to keep that anger out of his voice when he finally catches up to him.]

There you are! Now what was that about the Plane? [an eyebrow shoots up as he asks that question]

[Oliver makes a face, unaware of the Doctor's anger] It's not letting me go home. Have you tried lately?

[he makes a very conscious effort not to look Oliver directly in the eye and when he does, boy, he keeps a nice mental block up so Oliver can't see that he's angry]

Is that right? I haven't done in the past hour. Try and do it again. [folds his arms across his chest and waits]

[oliverplus]

You should try, too! [because he already knows that he can't go; he's more curious about the Doctor]

[but for the Doctor's benefit, he closes his eyes and even takes a step--and nothing happens. he sighs] See?

[Eithan happened to hear that, so he goes running.]

Oliver! Hey! What...? Somethin' wrong?

[oliverplus]

Eithan! [seeing his friend running his way, Oliver puts his hands up placatingly, looking a little sheepish. he didn't mean to panic him] Ah, I just realised it's not letting me go home right now. Have you tried to go home?

[punkblaze]

It’s not? [He frowns, gives it a try for himself-- poof!

… poof! Back.] Uh. No, yeah, works for me. You sure you can’t?

[noblesavage]

The Plane is strange, but it is only the usual strangeness. What is happening, Oliver?

Leela! [he's a bit startled when she speaks up. he didn't actually hear her coming] I can't go home. Can you?

[noblesavage]

[She frowned in uncertainty then, without further discussion, tried and successfully vanished from the Plane. She returned a few moments later.]

[ Someone looks mighty troubled and Kiran can't help but approach -- ]

Hey, Oliver! I'm here! What's going on?

Hey! Kiran, have you tried to go home lately?

[he's really hoping it's just him--as annoying as it is that the Plane picks on him so much]
