[as per his 'deal' with Ainley!Master, Gene has begun his investigation into where his ~~lover~~ ~~arch-nemesis~~ arch-lover acquired his new bling. being that Gene is Gene, he begins his search where he figures he'll find the most information -- Sam's desk. which includes fiddling around with his glasses and possibly downloading porn (by accident, of course!), before rifling through the papers inside his DI's desk. and what's this~? Hyde 2612? the Guv is, of course, none too happy to see 'Hyde' references in Sam's stuff, but he pockets it anyway and keeps going about looking like the snoop he is]

Congratulations, Sherlock, you're a genius. Tell me something. Can you tell your arse from your front with those amazing powers of observation you've got going, or do you feel the need to piss standing backwards because you don't know which way to point?

Hm... [Minato pulls out some of Fumie's tags from his pocket, and thumbs through them, looking for a specific one. They're all written in Japanese.] What sort of information?

[watches him warily] Looking for notes on a bloke we're investigating.

"We"? [And Minato finds what he was looking for. Without waiting for Gene to answer, he quickly slaps the bigger man across the face, the tag quickly dissolving into Gene's invisible digital skin.]

Yeah, me and Ty -- [and he's slapped! have a very angry Guv hauling back to punch you in return] The hell was that for you lousy little shit?!

[He has to contemplate this for a moment, which tells you right there he didn't quite finish thinking this one through.] Because you're acting strange?

[Minato braces himself, because he senses pain coming in his immediate future.]

[why yes, Minato, yes there is, because Gene just punched you in the face and then slammed you into the nearest wall -- a couple times -- before dragging you close so you're face to face] Don't you ever try and hit me again, especially not in my jungle. I will make sure you never see the outside of a holding cell until you're too old to get your willy up. We understood?

[Minato nods. He only needs to put a tracking tag on Gene once, anyway.] I won't touch you again.

[Nods and walks away casually :|]
