[The white expanse of sand has a visitor today. Sasha the reincarnated Athena sits upon it with her staff laid across her lap. While she appears at first glance to be asleep the tell tale wash of warmth when you step too close and the golden glow says otherwise.

But the power she's giving off is hardly hostile. Instead it seems to be a call echoing outward, curious and interested in all who tread within her vicinity.]

[It's a nice feeling, and Mu lets his own Cosmo wander out to meet hers as he approaches, stopping a few paces to the side. He says nothing, willing to maintain the silence as long as she wishes.]

[She smiles as she feels Mu's power brush against hers then mingle at the edges like the greeting of an old friend.]

Feeling better, Mu?

I am, yes. And my lady?

Yes, Mu?

Ah, I misspoke. I meant to ask how you were.

It's alright. I'm fine. It was nice to see the others again, however briefly we were allowed to be reunited.

I share the sentiments. Among the saints, I saw at least Scorpio and Pisces. Were there others?

Another Shion was here. I didn't see any of the others.

[That's enough to get his interest.]

Another...?

Yes. There was two of Scorpio as well.

I'd seen the other of Scorpio, yes.

I thought, perhaps, that my mind was simply playing tricks on me - that I was merely feeling Shion as he should have been and did not investigate further.

Perhaps I should not have assumed.

[She steps closer to him, staff tip sinking into the sand.]

You were doing what you felt was best and for that no one can blame you. Of all of us, you were hit by what this place did to Shion the most.

I...

[He finds, then, that he can't meet her face, and averts his eyes.]

[Quietly:] I should have stopped him.

Mu, I couldn't stop him either. For that, I'm sorry.

It shouldn't have fallen to you to do so in the first place. My failure put you in danger.

[She takes another step closer, her voice soft.] There will be times such as the one we faced where I must take to the battle field beside you. By fighting together, we can achieve peace. The risks were necessary to show our friend the true color of his own heart.

[Her capacity for forgiveness will forever astound him. There are, at once, a lot of things he could say: That he doesn't want to be the cause of her taking up arms again. That even intervention couldn't bring Shion back. That he's still angry at himself. Instead, Mu just shakes his head gently and says: ]

I do hope you'll forgive me for wishing that time you speak of is a long ways off yet.

[Sasha nods quietly.] I wish the same. But whether it is or not, remains to be seen.

[Jamie isn't so good with figuring out it's a call, as his grasp on powers is...well, spotty, at best. He just sees a lass who appears to be faintly glowing in an area that's somewhat warmer than normal.]

Miss? Are ye...are ye alright?

[Sasha looks up before Jamie's even close enough to be visible and nods once in greeting when he can see it.]

I'm alright. Just seeing who is on the Plane today.

Oh, aye, of course. [It's said in a way to make it sound as though he actually knows what she's talking about, even though the faintly baffled look on his face might indicate otherwise.]

I don't think we've met before, have we? I'm Jamie.

It's nice to meet you, Jamie. [She smiles slightly.]

I'm Goddess Athena.

It's nice to meet ye... [He blinks, looking quite startled.] I-I'm sorry. Did ye say Goddess Athena?

Yes, I am the Goddess Athena. I am the latest incarnation to walk the Earth, as I have done since the Age of Myths.

[You'll have to forgive him for looking maybe just a wee bit poleaxed at that. He's not used to running into living incarnations of the Gods. Or even that there's multiple ones, really.]

Ah...I'd not realised. I-I'm terribly sorry, Goddess Athena. I hope I've not offended ye?

No, it's alright. I'm human as well as a Goddess. There's no need to worry about offending me. I hope today is a good one for you.

[thoughtfully] Oh, aye, I see. Aye, well, it's not so bad of a day.

A wee bit more exciting here than it is back on my world at the moment, though. [He pulls a bit of a face, then.] We're traveling, ye see.

It's quieter here than it is back in my world. We're rebuilding our home.

I've never traveled much, what's it like?

Och, most of the time we're just sitting about waiting for the TARDIS to land someplace. Or, well, I am. The Doctor's usually watching the stars. I don't know why. They all look the same.

Hey, ye said ye were rebuilding, though. Did something happen?

[Oliver approaches Athena uncertainly, not sure what to make of what he's seeing] Um...you know you're glowing, right?

[She looks up at him and rises to her feet, staff held lightly in her left hand.]

I know, but is that all you see here?

[well, that's a confusing response] Uh...how do you mean? [he pauses, hoping he doesn't have this completely wrong] Hey...are you Athena?

[She only smiles and nods.] Yes, I'm Athena. Sometimes known by my human name of Sasha. What can I do for you?

[he brightens at that] Oh, wow! I was hoping I'd get to meet you! Oh, uh--I'm Oliver. [he smiles sheepishly] I'm a friend of Mu's and Saga's.

[Sasha brightens too, almost like a little girl when greeted with an old friend.] Oh! Hello, Oliver! Any friend of my saints, is a friend and ally of mine.

[Oliver grins at that] Same for you! It's so cool to meet you! I mean, I've never...you know, met a goddess before. [he scratches his head sheepishly. he really has no idea what to say. what do you say to a goddess!?]

[She smiles at him, her expression rather friendly.] Then I'm pleased to be the first to meet you. Why don't you tell me a bit about yourself, Oliver.

Me? [he stares. this is a goddess! why is she asking about him?] Well, uh. I'm a Brummie! You know, from Birmingham, in England. Except my Earth isn't the same as your Earth. We haven't got...you know, saints. And goddesses. But I travel the universe with the Doctor! Have you met him?

[Wash isn't the type to believe in magic or anything like it, but even he can feel the slight warmth as he approaches her. he's...not exactly sure what to make about the glow just yet, though.]

Ah, Athena. Didn't think I'd meet you out here. [he pauses, frowning a bit behind his helmet] Do you...have a light of some kind near you?

Hello again, Agent Washington.

[She doesn't get up this time but she nods to show she's heard him.] No. I don't have a light with me, today.

You--you don't? Okay... [he decides to not push the issue]

I was thinking about what you said when we first met. About you serving as an advisor and whatnot. I'm in the process of putting together a security taskforce for the Plane, and I was wondering if you would like to help me. You wouldn't necessarily have to fight. I believe there's a role for everyone, especially for those who wish to help others when danger's afoot.

It's part of the power people of my reality all share if they're born as an incarnation of a God or under a guardian star.

[As she listens to what he says, she lays the staff down removing her hand from it.]

I'd like to see everyone protected here, I'm at your disposal. I can fight as necessary. I merely don't take to field unless it is necessary. Did you get the chance to talk to Mu?

[he nods] Ahh, I see. That explains the name, then.

Hopefully, we won't have to deploy you into battle. I'd prefer not to have everyone fighting anyway. [it's only practical, after all.] And I did come across him, yes. He's...been here a long time. But he was very helpful. Showed me that what I'm setting up is very crucial.

Yes. I'm sorry for being unclear before.

It's my hope I don't have to step into matters, yes. [She nods, agreeing with him.] I believe what you're intending to do is very important. And very like what saints do for the well being of the Earth. That aside, whatever you need of me, I'll do my best to aid you.

No, don't apologize. I'm just...[he falters a bit, trying to pick his words] We don't have people who are the incarnations of gods where I'm from.

[he smiles slightly, straightening just a hair when he hears that] Thanks. [short pause] Um, are these saints also...reborn incarnations of a kind, as well?
