The Twins and Ms. Sault are the ones who brought you here. You can talk to them, but I don't think they're going to let you go--the rest of us have tried. Oh, and this is the Astral Plane. It's like a crossroads between realities.

[Bzuh?]

I-is it? I never really thought of it before...

Well, they're getting a talking to, then. I've done my share of adventuring, thank you. It's not like I don't already have my hands full!

It is. Can I call you Li? [ And she's smiling at him. Flirt flirt flirt~ ]

[Chuckles.] A lot of us were dragged into this experiment in the middle of things as well. Though I can't say that it's all been bad.

Um, sure, I suppose...

I've already got all this stuff to do before my coronation, who knows when that will be.

Then it's nice to meet you, Li. Where are you from?

Coronation? You're royalty?

It's nice to meet you too, Ms. Angela. And I'm from Tokyo, Japan, though I'm originally from China.

I'm the princess of Altena. And I'll be queen whenever Mother decides to step down.

Toe-key-oh. That's a different sounding place. That lady with the purple hair told me about the different worlds here. Kind of crazy, isn't it?

[ ... Yes. She means Mu. ]

Ah, that's quite important, then! I haven't met many princesses...there's a ghost princess here though, I think.

[Chuckles.] It is, isn't it? I never would have believed there could be different realities until I came here.

A lady with purple hair? [Trying to think of who this description belongs to.] You're the only lady I can think of with purple hair. There's Mu, of course, but...

My kingdom's kind of small, but we're all magicians, so we're pretty powerful. Not that it matters, of course. I'm definitely not going to go to war or anything. I have friends in other countries.

It's weird, that's what it is. Worlds and realities... I have a hard enough time dealing with my own world.

Hmm, she has dots. [ Angela indicates her eyebrows with two gloved fingers. ]

[Gentle smile.] Then you'll make a fine ruler. It's important for a ruler to know the kind of power he or she wields.

It must be difficult, dealing with magicians all the time. I take it there are good and mad magicians?

[Stares at her a moment and then starts laughing, oh he is so telling Mu about this.] Th-that's actually Mu. He's a he.

Please, tell my tutors that. Maybe they'll stop making me balance books on my head and recite poetry. I mean, really.

Oh, we're all just magicians, really. Not necessarily good or bad or anything. A lot like humans, only typically better with magic. [ She shows off one of her long and pointed ears. ] A little like elves, but not.

Oh. Oh! [ She bursts out laughing, too. ] Oops! I thought he was a woman with a deep voice!

[Beams at her.] Poetry and balance might be important, but not as much as the ability to manage a country and all its people.

Oh, I see. Well, we have quite an assortment here. Humans, aliens, talking animals, sentient armor...and there's about fifty of us, all told now.

[Laughing with her.] He does have certain...feminine qualities.

[ She grins right back, winking. ] Well, that and I have to keep the city warm, but that's no problem with this figure.

What's an alien? I think that's the only thing I haven't encountered before. Any rabites? Nasty little things.

[ She continues to giggle. ] I used to call Hawk girly, but Mu is definitely more so. I think the hair's partially to blame. You don't see many guys with pastel purple hair.

[Smiles, blushing a little.]

An alien is...well, it's basically a person from another planet. Though I suppose we're all aliens here--even if we come from the same planet, we come from different versions of it. [Pauses, thinking of Kirihara.]

[Still chuckling. Female!Mu is quite hilarious.] No, I suppose you don't . Though I'm pretty sure it's natural for him.

[ Angela grins happily at his blush. Cute! ]

So even other worlds have... other worlds? [ boggle ] This is getting to be a bit much to think about.

Oh, I imagine it is. It's just different from what I'm used to. Most the men I know either have blonde, brown, or blue hair.

Well, sort of. It's more like...you look up in the sky at night and see the stars, right? Well, some of those stars have planets, and some of those planets have people on them. Everyone here is either from a different planet, or a different version of the same planet. I think that explains it, at least...

I'm used to mostly dark hair; it's usually foreigners who have lighter colors. You get used to the different pretty quickly here, though.

[ Blink blink ] Stars are dead flammies, though.

[ Different versions... Angela's pretty much given up on fully understanding anything here. ]

People have all different colors where I'm from, but not really lavender. Not guys, anyway. Hmm, there aren't many people with black hair, either.

Dead...flammies?

[Chuckles.] Amazing the ways that places can be different, isn't it?

Flammies are... [ Pause, how does one describe a flammie? ] Kind of like a dragon, only a lot bigger. And more friendly. And covered in feathers. Six of us could ride on our flammie with lots of room to spare, and she's a baby still.

[ She nods. ] It's a bit confusing, though. This whole thing, I mean.

Dragons? Wow...[Yes, Hei is a little awed.]

[Smiles.] It is. But you get used to it, eventually.

Oh, we have lots of dragons in my world. [ She looks to the side. ] Some are... a little more evil than others, unfortunately.

[ Then she perks back up again. ] How long have you been able to come here?

Well, that's how it goes, isn't it? Always some good and some bad.

Hm, almost four months now, I think.

Yeah, you're right. [ She doesn't seem comforted, but still gives him a little smile. ]

Four months? Wow. Any weird stuff happen here, or is it just a starry place people from other worlds can shoot the breeze?

Well, mostly it's calm, but sometimes the Twins like to mess with us. There were some monsters running around a few months back, though that was before I got here. And more recently, a bunch of us ended up in other people's realities. There's also a few dangerous people here, just in general.

But mostly, yeah. People throw parties, sleep, do their work...[He shrugs.] It helps that time doesn't pass back in our worlds while we're here. As for me, well...I come here to talk, and to see the stars, I suppose.
