[Shion is at the library. Because it is quiet, and he doesn't want to deal with the ceaseless chatter of the masses anymore. Obvious to everyone is the way he's rubbing his forehead and scowling. He's also wearing black robes, instead of his usual white ones.] Why does everyone feel the need to whine at me so much? They don't need me for every petty problem that appears!

(OOC: Technically this is the start of Shion's experiment. He's still mostly himself, but over the next few days he'll start to forget more and slip further and further into becoming the Balrog Specter.)

It's hardly whining if there are bones protruding. Those tend to be legitimate complaints.

[Shion glares in reply] Do you have any idea how rare a complaint like that is? Most are far more petty things! And in the cases where it is, why are they coming to me instead of a healer? I have other duties, ones that affect the whole of Sanctuary.

Which currently includes you, myself, the lambs and a handful of trainees. Has your patience finally run out?

Can you truly blame me if it has? I'm surrounded by children, noise children, and most of the adults I speak with are there only to complain at me!

[A certain someone is looking through the books in the library, trying to see if there's anything really interesting to read. Like Goosebumps books, those things are awesome. But while he's looking he hears someone being snappish and oh snap time to go see what's going on. He's peeking out from around a shelf right now.]

[Shion is not pleased to see another kid around] I have a headache and people seem to think that by chattering at me incessantly I will be able to solve all the world's problems.

I'm sure not everyone thinks that. Maybe some people talk to you because they like you.

If they truly liked me then they would be quiet and let me have a moment of peace.

You know, sometimes it does seem like that, doesn't it? Well, in my case, it isn't so much whining as it is...running into megalomaniacal beings who want to destroy the universe for petty reasons.

If you cannot remember to do something as simple as feeding yourself,you most certainly are not perfectly capable.

[There are many things one could answer to that complain. Starting with some remark about if maybe asking Saga would be a better idea, or that he's right and he's not needed for every petty problem that appears or even for the big problems at all.]

Why not change jobs then? That way maybe they will go bother someone else.

Because I do not trust anyone else to be able to run things right. I am the only one qualified to do so.

[Shion scowls, although more in confusion than anything else. It's not like he hasn't run into something like that before, but still...] I almost wish that it was something like that. Even if we had another Holy War, at least that would stop them whining and they would listen to me.

Then I suppose they also think the same. No one else qualifies to help them with their menial problems besides you.

I might be flattered by that if it wasn't so annoying. I have better things to than play babysitter.
