[Hei appears on the Plane ~~not bleeding this time!~~ looking a little indignant.]

Ms. Kirihara! You thought I was going to wear them??

[After a moment he sighs in a long-suffering sort of way.]

Mion, I'm not sure how much your vest cost...I brought some yen though, enough to cover it, I think.

Oh, and Mr. Tyler, if you've been...un-kidnapped yet--I have news.

You don't like what you need to hear. I help! [Starts purring.]

[looks down at Cy and back to Hei, trying to read Hei's expression]

[Not gonna work, Sam. He's had years and years to practice the poker face.]

[Cy is tired of this. She leans over and bites him on the leg.]

[Sam, of course, doesn't notice the biting. Because his leg wasn't bitten. DUH. Hei's turn!]

[Flinches a little.] Oi! That hurt! [Tries to nudge her off his leg (gently).]

[Grabs on and stays on.] No! Not going nowhere, Bee-Kay.

Cy, I'm not sure if that's...

[Hei is so done with all this. He shoots a final glare at them both and disappears from the Plane.]

[She thumps to the ground. She looks upset.]

But it's coming. It's a bright fast train, and I like him.

So do I. [sits beside her] He'll come around. [maybe] It just takes time.

[Climbs into his lap, making little mrrt sounds.] But there isn't. There isn't.

[She curls up.]

[pets her] We can't do anything about that, though, can we? We'll just.. keep trying.

Don't stop fighting, right, Nancylocks? [Stretches a little, sharpening her claws on his pants.]

Right - hey, hey, watch the leather!

[Grumpy noise.]

Usin' the materials on hand, Nancylocks.

Don't get grumpy with me. These're nice trousers.

[Muttering.]

Love 'em so much, keep 'em. Stash 'em. Time capsule, say hello to two-thousand-and-six.

[Starts shaking her head around.]

This place is heavy.

[She shakes her head again.]

Heavy. It's all mud and mire upstairs, fires and galaxies and nineteen-seventy-three. Shadows chasing the green moon, little lilting girls and angels' bright arms.

Heavy. [Rubs at her face like she's trying to itch.]
