[There is a new man on the Plane. And by "on the Plane," I mean all over the Plane. He can be spotted at all the various locations -- first, at the information kiosk (he gets both brochures in paper, and then he looks at the holograms, and then he listens to the audio. of both. in a row), then the coliseum, and the kitchen, and the beach, and the bar, and -- you get the idea. His strange red robes drag the invisible floor, and it creates a strange impression that he's floating, like some kind of overexcited ghost.

Wherever you are on the Astral Plane today, you will see him. He is investigating everything he comes across, touching everything, and he is always, always smiling. Wat do, Reality Shifted?]

[Dino just chuckles] Okay, you got me. It probably makes more sense to be curious if you're new here. You're taking it pretty well though. Most people are a bit more freaked out at first.

I have to admit, a place like this was not something I was expecting to be at the end of a cave. But aside from the supposed backstory, this isn't one of the strangest things I've ever encountered.

Your world must be really interesting then. Almost frighteningly interesting if you really think this place isn't the strangest. I've seen some pretty freaky things back home too, but there was nothing on this scale.

Yes, I have heard that Spira is a strange place indeed. [Not that Jecht really said it in those words...]

I never expected to have the chance to explore other worlds... I wasn't even sure that there were others. [The concept isn't beyond him, though, ever since he met Jecht and heard his stories of Zanarkand. Once he learned the truth, well -- That didn't change much. "A mind once stretched by a new idea never regains its original dimension," after all.]

I had heard theories about other words before I got here, but I hadn't thought they were real until I actually arrived here. It's one of those things were you go 'That could never happen!' and then it does, I guess.

That is true. I've seen things that most people would swear could happen appear right in front of me. I think it's the scale of this place that throws me off. Even the best illusionists and scientists that I know wouldn't be able to put together something like this. I don't like the thought of that much power being used against me.

Even all the power in the world is not unstoppable. Nothing is perfect; every plan is flawed. Those weak points just need to be pinpointed, one after the other, and then a plan devised to target them.

That's a very strategical way of looking at things, but a really smart one. Are you a soldier or something? [Dino is used to thinking like that, but in his experience it takes a particular sort of mind to think in that way]
