[Conan's come to the Plane to think again. Sitting in a quiet, well-lit spot, he has photos of all of the victims from his world, a copy of the case files for those of Satoshi and Menzies' world, and brief descriptions of those he's heard about from Guinevere, Duo and the others spread out around him.

What he's currently preoccupied with is the account of Menzies' conversation with Grey that he's got copied down in his notebook. For the little information they gained, there is an excess of questions.]

[Conan's used to reading English, but it still takes him a moment to process -- all the facts line up, and to crown it off, there's a mention of Japan's most well known detective, Mouri Kogorou, being a party guest and thus on hand to help the police solve the crime.]

... ha. It's not a coincidence. [Even if the same event happened in another reality, without me to stop Occhan giving everyone the wrong solution ...]

No aliens in Tokyo. [That's said flatly and immediately -- Conan's going to refuse to believe in any aliens he meets. But he remembers something a moment later.]

There was an article a couple of days ago about a surge of car accidents in Manchester.

[Menzies smirks, amused at his defensiveness--and not so sure he'd know about it if there were aliens] And there aren't any officially in Manchester, either.

[she raises an eyebrow] Well, what do you know. That inquiry even made news overseas! How exciting. [the sarcasm is dripping as heavily as ever, of course]

What, the Trigillans? [she snorts. "friends" isn't exactly the right word] Yeah, looks like they made themselves a bit too notorious--or one of them did, anyway. Your article might've said something about a Kirk James. They're not the most creative lot, the Trigillans.

But wouldn't you know who got stuck with heading the inquiry? Funny how that works.

[she nods, dropping from the Plane, only to return a few moments later, shaking her head] Nope. Just some, ah, daimyo. [she may have butchered that word slightly] So it's in the papers but not on the internet. [she snorts] Someone somewhere would probably call that a sign of the apocalypse.

Ah ... so I guess the overlap is limited to the one medium currently. I wonder if it's far enough that we could communicate through that?

Ah, considering we're sharing entire newspapers? [yet. which is a disturbing thought, really] I doubt taking out an advert would be a very reliable way to send a message.

You're probably right. Still ... there must be some way to monitor this ... Ah, I'll track down the Manchester article again and keep an eye out for any more news, and tell Haibara and Satoshi-niichan to do the same.

Yeah, I'll keep an eye out, too. I'd have thought it would be easy, but oddly enough, nobody's seemed to notice the newspaper has suddenly decided that Tokyo's local. Funny how that works. [and a bit disturbing, but at least this development doesn't seem particularly dangerous. that's something to be grateful for]

Ah, at least in my experience! A whole new Junior High School got attached to the school I go to everyday, and I didn't even notice it to think it odd until the first time I came here.
